My Celebrity Heartbreak

Chapter 2

Once I arrived on the set of where I was about to begin my career of directing, I couldn't believe that I had actually made it. After years of self-doubt caused by Cameron leaving, I never thought that I would ever be here.

I walked over to the set headquarters which was just a trailer in the middle of a parking lot at the beach. We were at the beach because this is where we were going to begin shooting the music video in a week. I didn't know who the artist was that we were going to be filming. Francis told me over the phone that it was going to be a surprise.

After arriving at the trailer I walked into a meeting about the desired camera angles for the shoot. This whole experience this morning has been so overwhelming. Once everyone realized that somebody had just walked into the room, they had all turned to see who it was.

"Ahhhhhh, Look who it is! It is the next me! Welcome Ms. Lily Andrews, we're all so excited to have you here," greeted Francis.

"Thanks for having me here Francis, I can't wait to get started."

"Well that's good because we have a few things we need you to do before we can begin the fun stuff," Francis warned.

The next few days I spent marking the locations on the set where Francis wanted all the cameras located. I pretty much spent my first few days in L.A. staging the set for the video shoot next week.

At the end of the week I called Amy to catch her up on the exciting life of Lily Andrews.

"Have you met any cute guys yet?"

"I haven't seen you in a week and that's the first thing you ask me? Really, Amy?" I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her. She was such a weirdo.

"Of course that's the first thing I'm going to ask you. That's by far the most important thing. So any cute guys? Spotted that hunk Cameron yet? If you ever meet him, you better not walk away without his number."

"Amy, I haven't had any time for flirting and going out. I literally have spent this whole week preparing for shooting the music video, which we begin doing tomorrow."

"Oh fine, you're no fun. Do you know whose music video it is yet?"

"Not yet. But I know the person must be big since Francis has been getting so hyped and stressed about it at the same time. I didn't even know that was possible."

"That's so exciting! OMG! What if the person is Cameron Lincoln? How awesome would that be?"

"What is your obsession with Cam?"

"Cam? You make it sound like you know him personally. And he's just so hot! who doesn't love him?"

"Well I don't love him because I do unfortunately know him at a personal level..."

I realized I did need to tell Amy about Cameron and I. If I run into him here, I will need to tell someone about it and that person would most likely be Amy. I never should have kept it from her in the first place. That was stupid of me.

After I told Amy about everything, It took her a few minutes of silence before she said anything.

"Ams, you there still?"

"Sorry just trying to process everything. You're friends or well, ex-best friends with Cameron Lincoln. The same Cameron Lincoln that has broken hearts everywhere. You hate him because the ass whole hasn't bothered to talk to you since he became famous. What a douche! It makes a lot more sense on why you always hated him."

"That would be exactly why I hate him. You are not mad that I kept this from you, are you?"

"Never! I totally understand why you wouldn't want to tell anyone unless you had to. But Lils, you realize the possibility of you running into him just sky-rocketed now that you live in the same city, right?"

"Yes, I realize that. I just am going to avoid him to the best of my ability."

"O.k. Well good luck with that. Text me how your first day of work goes. I'm so proud of you Lils for getting here."

"Thanks Ams, I'll talk to you tomorrow. Bye."

When I hung up the phone with Amy, I just sat there letting that whole conversation sink in. Amy knows about my friendship with Cameron now. For me, that's a lot to process because I've never told any one about this.

Once everything has finally set in, I decide to head off to bed because I will be meeting the artist who Francis and I will be shooting the next few weeks tomorrow morning. This is what I've been dreaming about my whole life, I couldn't be any more excited than I am right now.
