FLASHBACKS

*JACOB's POV*

I woke up feeling dizzy. Maybe I shouldn't stay on my phone til 2 a.m. It kinda hurts my eyes.

After what seems like forever I sit up and look out my window.

My room is on the second floor towards the front so I can see the street.

I lift the covers over my legs revealing my plaid pants and black tshirt. I stand up and stretch my arms, then decide to walk downstairs for breakfast.

"Morning sweet cheeks" my mom says with her big smile as I walk down the stairs. "Morning mom, so what's for breakfast?"

My mom tries to keep a straight face but she isn't very good at it so she ends up smiling.
"Moooom what's goin' oooon." I say dragging out the o.

"Well I planned something special for my baby! How does french toast with strawberries and whip cream sound?"

I know that meal. I love that meal!

This is what I ate my first day of preschool, my mom had to cut if up for me since I couldn't really do it myself but I was a very big sweet tooth when I was little. And what do you know, I still am.

My mom set the plate with my favorite breakfast on the table outside by the pool.

I sat down next to her and started digging in. I spaced out and had a memory from the past.

**Flashback to the first day of preschool**

"Bye mommy, Wuv you!" "I love you too little man. Hold on you got a little whip cream on your face" she said while wiping my mouth.

After she did that I gave her a hug and ran into the room.

I wasn't the least bit shy, and I still don't have a shy bone in my body.

I ran over to the cubby and put my backpack and lunchbox in the cubby.

That is when I saw her.

Frizzy pigtails hanging loose as she sat coloring at the table. I decided to walk over to her.

I sat down next her I got excited and said "Hi I'm Jacob" She looked up at me for only a second and then looked down at her paper and continued coloring and replied and said

"Hi, I'm Makenzie! We're gonna be beeeest friends now!" and then she hugged me.

From then on I knew we were going to be best friends for life.

**Back to the present**

"Jacob....Jacob....Jacob! Hello Earth to Jacob!" She said waving her hand in front of my face. "Uh huh?" I replied still spacing out. "You thinking about Makenzie again?" "What? Oh, yeah I just can't get her off my mind."

"Well you know her birthdays coming up give her a little surprise" *wink wink* "ok mom thanks I'll try love you." I said smiling at my mom.

And with that I picked up my plate put it in the sink and headed over to Kenzie's house.

Man I have to think of a surprise!
