"Morning Sunshine" my mom says as I zombie walk into the kitchen.
"Hey mom, whats for breakfast?" I ask sitting down at the table.
"How do pancakes sound?"
"Perfect, I am sooooo hungry." I laid my head down on the table.
"Well someone's tired" my mom says putting the pancakes down by my arms.
I dug in devouring the pancakes "Yeah I didn't get much sleep last night. I just couldn't fall asleep." I replied with a mouth full of pancakes.
"Well, we don't have any plans so you can lounge around the house or go meet friends."
"I think I'll do both." I say getting up and washing plate.
After I put my plate into the dishwasher I ran up stairs to get dressed.
It was pretty hot so I put on a crop top that said Music Television and slipped on a pair of light jean shorts.
With my outfit I paired some sunglasses, a small cream purse, and white converse.
When my outfit was done i put my hair in a side braid. (Shown below)

When I was done I texted Jacob I would be over in a couple minutes.
With that I ran downstairs and out the door.
*JACOB's POV*
When I got a text from Makenzie, I had a huge smile on my face.
I could finally give her my surprise. Well part of it.
I quickly got dressed into some sweatpants and a hoodie. Then, I gelled my hair up. I was finished right as I heard the door open.
"Hey Jakey!" Makenzie said while giving me a huge hug.
"Whats up Mac and Cheese!" I said hugging her back.
We have had these nicknames since 3rd grade. I don't know why we haven't changed them yet.
"So.... I wanted to show you something" I said while grabbing her hand and pulling her downstairs.
"Alright, so you know how your birthday is in 8 days"
"How could I forget I'm gonna be 18" she said laughing.
Her laugh is amazing.
"Well I got you a kinda early birthday present"
"Jacob! You didn't have to do that" she said with a huge smile on her face.
"Well I did. Here it is" I said as we walked into the kitchen.
I opened a cabinet and pulled out a card wrapped in a mint green envelope, her favorite color.
I handed it to her "Go ahead open it"
*KENZIE's POV*
I was smiling like crazy. He really didn't have to buy me anything.
I opened the envelope to find a receipt and pictures of a campsite.
"Guess what! You, me, Laci, and Max are going camping for the weekend of your birthday!"
Is it possible to smile even bigger thanI already was cause I am pretty sure I was doing it then.
The reason Jacob's surprise was to go camping is because he knew I loved to camp.
When I was little my family and went camping all the time and I loved it. But then we got older and we just stopped going and he knows I miss it so much.
"And to top it all off we are going to your first campsite ever."
"Jacob, thank you sooo much" I said giving him a huge hug. "I love you so much"
"I love you too" he said
