Chapter 6/Please don't

... I open my eyes to see...

We are surrounded by so many beautiful read and yellow colored trees. Even some were orange. It's in the middle of autumn and the weather is perfect right now. Once and a while a slight breeze comes along and the whole forest like place shivers. It is truly beautiful. Shawn has a picnic basket and a blanket laying of the ground and I smile at him.

"This is so beautiful... Shawn. You didn't have to do this." I say.

" Oh no, it's fine, Candy." He says reassuringly with a smile.

We sit down and Shawn bought sandwiches and potato chips and a few berries. This is so cute. Why did he bring me here? I mean, why me? Now this is going back to what Jen said about this being a "date". Is it? NO! Of coarse not! Shawn Mendes could never like a girl like me. There are so many beautiful girls out there that would literally fall for him instantly. We are just friends. Wait... Shawn Mendes is my friend?! Never in a million years would i have thought i would meet Shawn. But, now I'm here having a PICNIC with him. What? Ok, I'm rambling. Like I always do.
I finish my sandwich and we eat our chips while talking about how Shawn may be going to Europe and meeting some fans there. Basically, we talk about his career and such things. We finish our food and water and we start to clean up. We get back to the car.

"Hey, you want to go for a walk through this forest?" Shawn says.

"Yea, sure why not? Its beautiful here." I say excited.

We start to walk and we somehow reach the topic of dreams.

" ...Yea, that happens to me to. Actually, I had a dream with you in it yesterday haha." Let me tell you about it. I pull out my phone and start scrolling through my notes.

" Wait, aren't you gonna tell me about your dream?" Shawn says while looking at my phone with me.

" Yea, I am. I just right down my dreams on my phone when I wake up so I can save them and not forget." I say.

" Oh, cool. Looks as if you've got a lot of dreams" Shawn says.

" Haha, I don't only write dreams here I write other random things. I guess it's kind of like a journal in a way. I write down important things that happened to me that day." I say

" Hmm. Wait. Can I take a look at that?" He says.

" Umm... Wait...Which one...Wait, Shawn!" I scream.

Before I know it Shawn is holding up my phone in the air reading something on my phone.

"C'mon Shawn I have private things on that phone!" I scream reaching up to grab my phone.

But there's no way I can get it. Shawn is like 8 inches taller than me so there is no hope of me getting my phone back especially with the length of his arms.

What could he possibly be reading on my phone that is so interesting? Then, it hits me. Hard. Last night I wrote about how we had ice cream together and how I was such a big fan and I finally got to meet him and how much I thought he was cute. And how I LIKE him. A lot. And how he is everything I imagined him to be and even more. Oh no, OH NO! He can't possibly be reading that can he?! OMG! He has to be. He probably saw his name on my screen. No wonder he grabbed it from me and is in the ZONE of reading it.

I start to jump as high as I can to grab the phone. But, there was not hope. He probably already read it. Or maybe he didn't. I start to jump again. He stops and hands me the phone. He has a blank face. Oh no!!!!!!!!!!! Why would I write that down!!!?!???! Now he knows I like him and there goes our friendship. Down the drain.

" You like me? " Shawn says with a blank and curious face but calm and quietly at the same time.

How am I supposed to respond to this?! Yes? Then he knows for sure. No? Then I would be lying. What do I say?

" No!... I mean... yes...no...umm...Look Shawn... It's just a stupid little crush! It means nothing!" The words feel like poison. I don't want to lie to him. But I don't want him to think that I like him either.

" Candy, do you like me?" Shawn says in the most innocent, cute, calm way. I can't lie to this face. I can't say no.

" Yes..." I say and i immediately look down cause I am so embarrassed. I could feel the blood rushing through my face already. I probably look like such a stupid fool in front of him. Oh my god. What is my life.

Next thing I know...
