The light was warm and sent a tingly feeling down my spine and warming my bones. The feeling was over as soon as it started and found myself in a jungle surrounded by dewy vines and grass brushing my ankles.
"Welcome home, Birch," Petra said. I was speechless. How could they do that??? Just step into the light like that and just go wherever they want. Obsidian started making a weird clicking sound, almost like he was speaking to the jungle. The other griffins looked up and started making the sound too. There was a deep rumble pulsing thought the earth at the tips of my talons. Adrenaline was going through my body at lighting speed but a scream would not escape my lips. Then BOOM!!! The earth before me exploded and I nearly s**t myself. I screamed, and Spruce chuckled. Obsidian held his stony expression. The ground seemed to disappear away and go back to normal but what it left was an absolutely enormous griffin in its place. He/she gave us an approving nod and somehow manipulated the ground to create a large tunnel down into the earth.
"The captain awaits your presence in the main hall," The Earth griffin said and we went in the tunnel, me having no idea of what would lie ahead.
