The tunnel was dark and dank with eerie, chilling feelings and a musty smell. As we walked through it , it seemed as though the tunnel would never end. My feathers were almost completely soaked in sweat by the time we exited the cave. What we entered when we exited took every last breath from my lungs away. We entered a cave. Okay, not like a cave that is like just rocky and stuff, this cave was magnificent. With hanging vines and glints of sun and forests of plants and thick foliaged trees lining the walls of the cave. This was more of a cavern than a cave though.

"This is your new home, Birch," Petra said with a warm smile. I was speechless. The entirety of the cavern was magnificent; with flowers growing from the ceiling of the cavern in majestic strands, to the glistening waterfall coming from the wall of the cavern, next to tall, thick trees that had flowered treehouses on them. I could only sigh at that moment. Not believing that this place would become my new home.
Obsidian started to walk forward out of the tunnel. Spruce followed closely behind him, but Petra stayed by me.
"Are you ready to leave your home in the Highland Valley?" She said with a worried expression set into her face.
"Yes... I think," I said questioning weather I really was ready to leave my friends and family to do whatever I'm going to do here.
"I know you might feel pressured to leave your family and home to come liver here and join our organization, but this truely is your choice, Birch," Petra said.
" I am, really, I mean, I never really felt normal in my clan and everything... It always just felt... Off. Like, I lust never really connected with the people around me and I always felt different I guess..." I said with sadness etching its way into my words.
"Well, if you really are ready to come live here we will need you to go into the Forces immediately," Petra said, the usually get crap done voice making its way back into her words. Petra took my hand. "Ready to go?" She said.
"I think so,"
