Blackness
Blackness everywhere…
I had no idea where I was, or how I got here…
I felt my long furry tail snake out of my shirt. I looked at the strange furry thing that I could control. The fur on it was Gold, and the scales underneath were a purple. Why are there scales? That’s when something unfolded from behind me. Wings? The main color on them were also gold, the inside was the same purplish shade. I looked down. My feet were large clawed paws, they also were gold, but made more out of skin and scales than of fur and scales. My pants were the same purple, while my shirt was also purple. What was going on?
Suddenly, things got clearer, there were others just like me, but different colors, one was gold ad red, another looks just made out of metallic colors. They all seemed so calm and happy. I walked forward, some of these strange beings waved at me with their tails. I waved back with a smile but quickly headed to the bathroom.
I looked in the mirror. My skin was gold, I had scales from my forehead to the middle of my nose, same purple. Which brings me up to how my nose looks. It was just two holes close to my cheeks. Cat-like ears flicked in confusion on the top of my head, my hair was a dark purple color, horns wrapped around each other at the top of my head, and they were the same purple.
Another animal walked in. They looked to be a different species. They had black skin, black hair, a dog-like tail, and dog ears. They looked at me for a moment, then smiled.
“You must be the new kid.” She looked at me happily, her tail wagging. I nodded, unable to speak.
“I’ll have to show were you are supposed to be.” She said with a sweet tone. I nodded and quickly left the bathroom. A few minutes later the dog came out.
“My name is Sheilia, what is yours?” Sheilia said sweetly.
“Zorla.” I whispered.
“Well Zorla, follow me!” Sheilia basically sang out. I followed her into a dark corridor. The only light came from the fire lit torches at the side of the hallway. She made a sharp turn into a room near the end of the hallway.
Inside the room was a young man sitting in a chair. He seemed so calm. He also was a lion. A long mane went from the top of his head down his neck. He was playing with a mouse. Twirling it in his paws, until he ate it.
“Hello Sheilia.” He said calmly, his small, rounded ears perking upwards when he saw the dog. His skin looked fury and was a white color. A white lion… Never thought such a thing existed. He looked younger than some of the others here.
“Hello master Harkless.” She said, still with a grin, and did a slight bow in the lion’s direction.
“Who is this young catagon?” He said, looking at me with silver eyes.
“This is Zorla.” Sheilia smiled, pointing to me. I wrapped my wings around my frame and let my tail fall to the ground.
“No need to be shy.” Harkless said with a forced smile. I looked at him, his slim tail waved, a small tuff of fur was at the end of it.
“Did your memory get whipped?” Harkless asked, I shrugged, “Considering you seem pretty scared, we should explain a few things first.” Harkless stood up, he had a white shirt and pants, and when he came around from his desk, his feet were small kitten paws, and he was pretty short. He had to be no older than 9 months... The rest of us looked more around 3 to 10 years. It’s rare for any animal to live up to see their 20th year of life. He was so tiny and cute through! And he owned this place? He seems so young… How could he manage this place, and have such good vocabulary? My mind was whirling, and before I knew it, he asked me a question that I didn’t catch. I looked at Harkless. He sighed slightly.
“Are you ready to go?” He asked, I nodded my head calmly, and we left.
All of that seemed to be a long time ago…
