"Do you ever feel like you're wasting your life?" I ask her. She looks up from her novel and looks directly into my eyes. She hesitates before answering.
"Sometimes," she responds. "Yet other times I feel like I'm not doing enough work. As if I should be going out there and getting experience." She looks away and then looks down at the carpet before continuing. "And still at the same time I think I should spend more time having fun and going on adventures. Other times I feel nothing at all. Maybe I am wasting my life. What do you think?" She looks up at me again. This time I'm the one who hesitates.
"I think I might be wasting my life too."
