chapter 7 - Horns!?

Your P.O.V

Dave decided to buy me some clothes, and took me to the store. I picked out some shirts, pants and another pair of panties and a bra.

We went back home and I changed into my slightly oversized blue long sleeve shirt wih black skiny jeans and my trusty ol' converse.

As I step out of my bedroom, I go downstairs to the living room to where Dirk and Dave were watching TV.

I sit right in the middle of the couch side by side with both of them. They both greet me and we all just start watching one of dirks anime shows.

When suddenly there was a knock.

Dave quickly sits up and runs to the door.

He cracks the door open and peeks his head out. Then he suddenly turns his head toward me with a panicked expression and slips outside and shuts the door behind him.

This makes me curious. I glance in dirks direction and he's taking a nap it seems like.

So I follow Dave, well I just put my ear up to the door to try to hear what Dave's up to.

I hear Dave's faint voice through the wood but I also hear another.

Who? Who could be so important for Dave to look at me that panicked?

Oh yea! Doors have peep holes. I stick my eye up to the hole and see the back of Dave's head. I see Dave's blond hair bobbing to the gestures he's making to the mystery person outside.

I slowly grab the door knob and twist it ever so slightly so it wouldnt make any noise.

As soon as I twisted it enough, slowly I cracked open the door and finally I see the person Dave's talking to.

He looked like he hasn't gone outside for years, his skin was a weird grey color and he had black hair spewing from the hoody he was wearing. He also looked kinda ruff, like he hasn't slept for days. He seemed around me and Dave's age too.

Then the hoody guy noticed me and gave me a confused look. Dave seemed to see where the hoody guy's eyes where looking and turned around. He started looking panicked again.

"Who the hell is she?" The hoody guy spits out.

Dave looks back and forth to me and the hoody guy and finally seems to calm down. Dave sighs and opens the door all the way and I step out. I'm super curious who hoody guy is now.

"Um hello, my name is Y/N...I was just curious to who Dave was talking to, so um who might you be?" I ask looking straight at hoody guy.

Hoody guy looks straight back at me and gives a loud response. "Well why should I tell you my name when I don't even know who you are. I don't even know why your in Dave's house."

I don't know if hoody guy is angry or if he just has a loud voice but either way, hoody guy seems to be a bit rude.

"Well excuse me, Mr. Trust Issues! I was just asking about your name and you completely cut me down!" I snapped at him, I don't even know why I got so mad at what he said I guess it just rubbed me the wrong way.

[A/N - *whispers* she's definitely on her period. (ಥ_ಥ)]

He looked surprised at my comeback and so did Dave. They both just looked at me with wide eyes.

Just as hoody guy was about to say something again, I close the door and go join dirk on the couch. I was done with that prick.

Dirk wakes up when I sit down next to him.

"Why hello beautiful." Dirk says while half asleep.

I smile at him and kinda laugh a bit. "Why hello there handsome." I say trying to mimic his tone of voice and he returns the smile and laugh.

At least dirk is nice to me. In a way...

No dave has been more than kind to me, he's letting me stay in his house for goodness sake. I should probably apologize. But later. Maybe when he comes back in, but even though I don't really want to, I should probably apologize to hoody guy also.

Just as I was about to suck up my pride and walk to the door, it opens, and in walks Dave...and hoody guy.

Dave has hoody guy by the ear an is pulling him in my direction. I stand up surprised.

Right as they are beside me dave let's go of his ear and hoody guy rubs his ear and gives dave a dirty look.

"Oh hey dave, Im sorry for being so rude to your friend out there. I hope you can forgive my terrible behavior." I say in the most nice way possible.

" Technically your supposed to be saying sorry to me." Hoody guy butts in, in a matter of fact tone.

Dave stomps on hoody guys foot, "OW! YOU LITTLE SH-" he cuts himself off and looks back at me.

"Okayy, I'm sorry, um, I guess." He says rubbing the back of his hoody covered head.

"Apology accepted!... Once you tell me your name." I say in a kinda joking way.

"My names Karkat, you happy now." He says in a annoyed tone.

"Very, and also that's quite a unique name you got there. Well Karkat nice to meet you, and Dave, have you told him why I'm here yet, so maybe he'll trust me now?" Dave nodded at me, " Yea I told him the short story of it, and you may not like him now, buut Karkat kinda grows on ya so don't worry, I'm sure you guys will be great friends in the future!" Dave says in a over excited voice while taking each one of us in one of his arms and bringing us all in a big hug.

"Your love makes me wanna puke dave, get the fuck off me." Karkat says laughing.

When Karkat pushes dave off of him his hoody falls down and he freezes looking kinda scared and so did dave.

I look up at Karkat's head to find two little orange horns sticking out from his wild black hair.

Karkat looks at me, waiting for my response.
