Everyone talks about how the world has improved, but it hasn't it's only gotten worse. The pain and suffering we put others through to get our own desires. It's terrible. When you look it all over the days of glory haven't ever existed for humanity has destroyed all hope for the future of the world. Or at least one where all can live in peace.

(NIKKI POV)

As I feel my drowsiness drain from my body I get up and get dressed. I look over at my messy bed and think to myself that I am to lazy to fix it. I run downstairs as my leggings get caught on the railing and I fall. As I tumble and crash down the stairs my mom is making breakfast. I finally reach the end of the rollercoaster that is my stairs and ask my mom how her day was. She is sobbing while cooking not a good mix. She hands me a dish of pancakes and yet I loose my interest for they are covered in a thick layer of tears. "What's wrong did Kyle break up with you, or is it something else?" I ask eager to hear the answer so that I may help console my mother in distress.
Y-Y-yes he did and I don't know what I did wrong!!!" She says crying into her floral blouse and apron. I try my best to help make her feel better about it but I have to get to school. Dammit I wish I could do both. Me and my mom have always been close. Until Kyle came with his two little girls, Jenny and Jessie, along with his 5 year old boy James. They are all very annoying and terrible.  As I get to class the teacher is in the middle of biography and slowly turns her head to me and says " Nikki please take your seat and do take 4 hours of detention as well.
