ECLIPSE

DESTUCTION AND DETENTION

        It was after school and I had detention to get to. On my way there I felt hands come out of the shadows and grasp for my lips to silence my screams. I immediately screamed out of instinct and ran. All I could hear was the load thumping of footsteps running behind me trying to catch up to me. Yet I was running to fast for anything to catch up. All of a sudden hands grab me from behind and pull me into the darkness.

     By the time I woke up from my sleep the only thing I could see was still black     Shit I can't remember anything. I was starting to regain my vision it looked like I was in an abandoned hospital of some sort. I search all around and yet find no one. Everyone was gone. Then all of a sudden I see a shadow lurking around and turn away to look at it when I looked it was gone. I never felt so alone. It reminded me of my past. One in which I tried to forget. Then I get lost in memories of the past. Gunshots firing startling me awake and so I run towards the area from which the shots fired from. There was the most traumatizing sight you could ever see. I saw my moms beautiful rusty brown red hair swaying in the wind as she falls to the ground dead. Her pink silk pajamas stained in blood such as my child hood after that. For the one who shot...............was my father. After that I was in a mental hospital cause i saw my moms ghosts. Haunting me with horrifying memories of death and sadness. Snapping back into reality I realize it's nighttime. And I crawl into one of the beds. I wake up I the morning to look outside and see the sky was different it was 3:00 a.m and the sky was red and faded into pink. The whole town was in panic mode. Sirens were going off everywhere. People running and yet it seemed peaceful........ Somehow. The news reporters were saying that there was no need to panic but all the sky colors that were changing were caused by pollution. (No one was convinced cause that was obviously a coverup) then they moved onto the soon to come up eclipse and how some officials were saying that we were to be left in the darkness forever but we had nothing to worry about. Cause apparently we wouldn't be left. Cause we all had someone waiting for us. At least most of us. Unlike others I have no one. At least not anymore.
