Healing The Pain

Body quivering
Shaking, like a leaf in the wind
Sweat seeps through the skin
Dripping from the brow of a wounded man
Intense pain cutting deep like a knife from the pit of your stomach
Rising higher and higher
Reaching the throat
Choking on horrific emotions
Trapped for decades
Hidden under lock and key
Until now
The pain, the sorrow
Please, it hurts too much
Tears burst from soulful eyes like a raging waterfall
Stop the blood oozing from my shattered heart
Crying, sobbing
Help me, make it stop
Collapsing from complete emotional exhaustion
The earth softens the fall
Day turns to black
Minutes pass, breathing is calm
Eyes waken, the overwhelming wound bears a tiny scar
A fragment of what's to come
Pain heals the pain
But for now,
Rest my precious friend
Your work has just begun
