Her brown hair twirled around my finger each time I put it up. I loved the way she sang when she looked in the mirror as I brushed her hair. It was so long that I nearly reached my waist. All I remember are just memories and they always are ending up from being so sweet into nightmares. Her screams as the door slammed shut and how I had to kick it down. As I ran through the corridor, the face of the young boy still haunts me. The smile that has been cut from ear to bloody ear. The while hoodie with stains of blood and that black hair that sparkles in the moonlight. Seeing him made me froze as all I saw was that boy running up the hill through the trees in the forests that death follows at every turn. All the way to the cliff with the old abandoned mental hospital where it has been left for years on end. No little girl to be seen.
You see, many years ago, a small boy, age 14, had his brother sent to jail after he hit three boys with a baseball bat and killed two. The other just got away. When the brother came out, he was crazy and only Jeff, the young boy who was the killer saw. Jeff wanted to look after his older brother so he went to tell the parents. The brother didn't want that and ended up hitting Jeff with an ashtray, the glass shattered. Not just on the ground but in his head. He died. The brother wasn't finished yet. He got a piece of glass and craved in his face a great smile from each ear. Now every year on the day he died, the ghost of the boy comes and takes a life of a child, we don't know what happens to them other then thy disappear. Many people have tried to find them but as soon as you go to the forests, you NEVER come out.
I never thought I would see him. Only a few who stayed alive have. The tears filling my blue eyes are shooting to the floor as I scream her name. People come rushing, a few upset, but no one cried. I was the only one who did. They say m lucky that it wasn't me. I would have wanted it to be me and not her. Never her. It was too painful to move so I just stayed in the same spot. Where the blood was right in front of me.
Everyone went and I was the only one in the house. My mum died when I was little and I got left with my little sister. I looked after her. I did everything to keep her safe. It has been an hour from when she left. I grab my bag, and run. I have always kept two bags full of food for weeks and clothes. In case we would ever need it. I kept running and running, couldn't feel my feet or the bag on me. I felt so numb so as soon as I came to the forest. I walked from there. The howling of the wolves. The crashing of thunder as rain pours down. Light flashes through the sky as I see the way out up on top of the cliff. As I am already wet, I just ran in to the shelter of a massive tree. Hearing the screams, I rise. Time to go in the building. I creep open the door and as I do. The horror went in my eyes. Blood. Bodies. Knifes. Sadness. Everything fills the room. I fall to my knees as I see her face, with a bloody smile from ear to ear. I looked up and he was standing over me. With the biggest smile I have ever seen. And that's the end. Or it could just be the beginning.
