They ran for days, finally reaching the top of the mountain. Streak and Staluna started digging.

"Didn't she say it was under the dirt and grasses?" Streak questioned, walking over to Celestia.

"Grasses.. There's a reason she said grasses. Look around Streak. I will look over here." She pondered. They went different directions. Suddenly, they stopped when a loud howl was sounded. That wasn't their ordinary howl. It was an execution howl.

"We must hurr-"

"Found them!" Streak cheered, looking at the swirled pattern of the grass. Staluna ran over immediately starting to dig. Streak joined in, tearing through the grass and dirt. A loud screech was made when Staluna's claw scratched across a metallic thing. They pulled it out of the ground. It was a large golden spiral calendar. The patterns were etchings of wolves from the heavens.

"Here's Snowfire." Streak pointed to a winged wolf arching into a "C".

"Do you know the howl?" She asked the alpha, looking up into the night sky.

"Of course." She found a spot to sit, resting the relic on the highest point of the mountain. They threw their heads back and began the Summoners Howl. It was a howl to be howled with the perfect notes. One wrong note and a wolf could summon a Midwolf instead of their desired Eclipolf.

When they opened their eyes. A bright light began to form in front of them. They watched as the white light sprouted wings. Their heart sped up. They wolf opened its eyes, slowly hovering down to the ground. They great grey smiled, folding its wings to its sides.

"A-are you Snowfire?"

"I am." They screamed in joy hugging her tightly. Streak felt a tear roll down her face.

"Cry not Streak. It's okay." Snowfire smiled brushing the stray tear away. She looked up into the large wolf's eyes.

"The amount of joy seeing you again is limitless." She smiled, wagging her tail madly. Snowfire looked at Staluna, who was bowing towards her.

"No need. Now, why did you summon me?" She smiled, watching Celestia stand.

"The Daughter is planning to execute the Eclipolf, Pure. she had attacked me viciously but that was her in that pelt. I explained to the Daughter and she didn't listen to the one who was attacked. We need your help to stop her. Since you are a higher command than she."
Snowfire is she unknown Second Command wolf?! I've never known! Streak was shocked.

"To stop an execution is not my making. But this is not usual for the Daughter to bring forth an execution. I will help you." Snowfire said, extending her wings.

"Jump on. I'll fly us there." Snowfire grew big enough for the wolves to climb up. Moments later, they were airborne, soaring above the clouds.

"I forgot how beautiful it was to fly." Staluna whispered, touching the clouds with her paws. Everything became still for her.

"Is it an experience that is amazing? Since I have not been with wings, I wouldn't know how it is to fly." Streak said, lying back with Celestia Staluna.

"Flying is an experience that has no words to describe. You feel the wind run through your fur like standing on a mountain. Your paws are pushed against your underbelly from the force pushing against you. When you are above the clouds, time stands still. The view?.. Oh the view is breathtaking. You don't have to worry about losing air. You could sleep on clouds if you wanted to, and watch the packs run across the plains like school of fish in the ocean. It's extraordinary Streak.. It really is."
She closed her eyes and smiled to the wind swaying her wind like grass in a breeze. Streak looked up to the stars, watching them glitter. The constellations stood out like rocks in sand. She named everyone silently in her mind.

If only I could feel what she felt. The wind, the rain on your wings and even the view to watch from above. Streak felt saddened. Even though she was a Lunarwolf, the full experience wouldn't be possible. She turned her head to ask Staluna another question. Noticing she was fast asleep, she made herself into a sleeping position before drifting off into a light slumber..

Streak rested on the cloud she slept on for a few hours, to pass the time for dusk. She jumped off, spinning through the air with her wings bound to her sides. Freedom was all her mind thought about.
I am free. I can fly with the others. She thought closing her eyes. Extending the white wings, Streak flew back up into the sky, to the stars. Suddenly a cloud of rain passed by, showering the Eclipolf with a small rain. All Streak could do was laugh in joy. The joy of the feeling she wanted after so long. The stars glided across her pelt as she drifted by. Watching with awe, they tapped her fur, causing it the shine brighter than in sunlight on a clear day...
Streak awoke to Snowfire flying above the clouds, gliding to not awaken them. The sky was turning back to dusk.

Wow.. I've slept all day. She thought looking over to Staluna, who was sitting watching the ground pass by. Streak joined her, spotting a pack chasing after a herd.

"Why do wolves run in formations like triangles? Why not a square?" Streak asked Staluna.

"The highest member, the alpha, run in front to guide the pack around the herd. They mastered ear flicks and tail twitches to signal the pack to do something. The lowest ranks, the omegas, run in the very back. Being an omega is the worst. They eat last and sleep outside the warm den every night. But running in the back of a large pack, you get dirt kicked in your muzzle and always have to shake your pelt before running again. The middle of the pack in the outflankers. They usually are on the outsides to branch off when given the signal to guide the weakest one in the herd to a dead end or a cliff. Once they do, the alpha bites the neck of the animal, letting it die either slowly or quickly. Before a pack begins to feast, they howl a thank you to the God of that animal for the meal. It's a respectful thing all wolves do." Staluna explained, never taking her eyes off the ground. Streak watched as the pack stopped running.

I guess they have killed their prey. Wolves are fascinating. Streak smiled, looking for the caribou god, Tarandus. The Great Caribou shined brightly, next to the Great Bear, Ursa.

"We are going to arrive in a few hours." Snowfire said after their conversation. They switched sides to look on the farther side of Starwing.

"Is that fire in the distance?" Streak asked Staluna. She moved her attention to the red glow.

"It is. That is the Stafire territory." Snowfire turned her head that way.

"They still haven't changed the name, haven't they?" Snowfire asked, looking back ahead.

"No. And everyday Skar grows darker. The kept the name because of the destruction he causes, like fire."
"Skar rules the territory?"

"Yes. He brainwashed Alyla, which we just back to health, and had the pups and I as his Top Wolves. He is the alpha of chaos." Streak growled, taking a last glance at the territory before heavy cloud cover came through..
