After Harry was discharged from the hospital we spent the last couple of days at the cabin laying low. He wasn't in a subdued mood or anything but I wanted him to relax. I offered to drive home on our last day so he settled comfortably in the passenger seat.

"Have you talked to your parents?" He asked me and I cursed.

"I have not. Do you mind?" I asked and he shook his head. I hooked my phone up to the speaker and it rang until my dad picked up.

"Draco? Is everything okay?" He asked.

"Yes dad you told me to call so I am." I answered.

"Where are you? It's loud."

"Harry and I are driving back from our little vacation." I told him and Harry grabbed my hand.

"Oh I see. Tell Harry I said hello."

"Actually Mister Malfoy you're on speaker. It's nice to talk to you." Harry called.

"It's nice to talk to you Harry, it's actually Sn-"

"Hey dad?" I cut in.

"Draco, I was talking." He hissed.

"Yes I know but I need to talk to father, is he in?" I asked.

"No your father is on a business trip." He disclosed. "What did you need to tell him?"

"Oh I was just gonna tell him that Harry had an allergic reaction to something in the restaurant and I wanted to know what kind of legal action I could take."

"Luke, its fine." Harry waved a dismissive hand. "Don't worry about it."

"Are you sure?" I asked and he nodded. "Alright dad nevermind."

"Alright, how are you feeling Harry?"

"I am fine sir thank you for asking."
"Of course. Draco, I shall talk to you later. I love you." He told me and I gulped.

"Love you too." We hung up.

"Even your parents call you Draco?" He asked and I nodded.

"Yeah, they never had the nickname so when people started calling me that, they liked it."

"I see." He chuckled. "It's nice they say I love you to you. No offense but I got the feeling that you're not overly affectionate. Aside from me that is." He told me and I smiled warmly.

"I didn't grow up in a cold house but my parents rarely told me they loved me. I knew they did but we never said it." I shrugged and he cocked his head to the side.

"Why do they say it now? If you don't mind me asking?"

"Well when I fell in the depression, my therapist advised them to be more affectionate towards me."

"Did it work?" He asked and I shrugged.

"I guess. When I got out of the hospital, I was smothered. I did online classes for school so my dad could watch me. He reminded me all day that he loved me and that he was there for me." I chuckled softly at the memory.

"It's cute. When I got in my accident." He started. "All I really remember was my parents trying to familiarize me with everything. I too had to do online classes because I didn't remember anything that I learned prior. I survived."
