Today is tuesday, kakatapos ko lang basahin yung The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. Aaand.. Dang girl! It motivates the Charlie inside me to do my own. (Siya yung protagonist sa book.)
Like, pag pinaplano mo na mag diary/journal and you imagine how great it will be but then you end up doing the opposite (reality) pero eto! Eto na yun eh! Idagdag mo pa yung good writing skills ni Charlie sa book. Plus, this book has a movie naaaaa!! I need to watch it, who wants to come?
Oops.. yeah, no one would. Kung pwede lang kasi i-date yung mga books or my dog. But neither way works.
"Hey baby, you bored?"
Yup, i'm talking to my dog. He's a black pug named Crinkle. And of course hindi naman sya sasagot..
arf arf arf
"Does walking in the park sounds good to you?"
arf arf arf
As he responds, bumaba na kami.
Downstairs, meron kaming bisita. Isang mid-age woman and isang teenage girl like me. I bet ka-age ko 'to.
"Hi honey, are you going out?"
"Yes mom, can i?"
"Maybe later, gusto sana kita ipakilala sa bisita natin. Is that okay with you?"
"Yes, of course." i smiled, weakly.
She wants me to interact with teens like me. Lagi nya 'to ginagawa and it seems na hindi sya titigil.
Walang nagtatagal. Pinagtiya-tiyagaan lang nila ko, alam ko yun. Napipilitan lang sila siguro because of their moms.
"Yui, this is Anika. Your Tita Anne's daughter."
She's a bit taller than me, long hair, bangs, pretty. "Like all the other pretties in the world." naisip ko yung sinabi ni Shay sa Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
"Hi Yui."
"Hi Anika."
Don't get me wrong, gusto ko ng kaibigan. I REALLY DO. Pero kasi minsan nafi-feel ko talaga na ayaw nila sakin, or they just find me weird.
After that awkward introduction, wala na nagsalita. Parang lahat nagpapakiramdaman. I'm used to it.
"Mom, can i go now?"
I heard her sighed and then said, "Okay, basta be back before dinner huh."
Thank the father of the baby named yes, that was over.
"Now mom, can i go? My job here is done. Iniintay na ko ng mga friends ko."
I knew it. Halata namang ayaw nya sakin. Whatever, today is a good day. Besides, magda-date pa kami ni Crinkle.
Pagdating namin sa park, wala namang bago. Kids in the playground, other people with their pets, food everywhere, couples, and others riding a bike, board or a roller skates.
Buti na lang summer na, more time with Crinkle, with sleep, with foods and with books.
"Excuse me!! Excuse me!! Incoming!!"
Oh you boy, such a sweetie. Hinabol ko ng tingin yung girl but sadly di ko nakita yung mukha nya pati na din yung hinahabol nya, all i know that it was a piece of paper. Nvm
"Mom! I'm back." it's around 5-6 pm nung nakauwi na kami ni Crinkle.
"Right in time sweetie. How's is your day in the park?"
"Good. Nothing new." I smiled to let her know that everything is okay.
One thing with my mom is she is always worried about me being not fine or whatever.
"What MIBF?"
"Manila International Book Fair."
"Do you have some friends with you?"
"Mom.." she already get it.
"Alright. Magpahatid ka sa driver ha?"
"Yes, i will."
"Can we make a deal, Yui?"
"Uhm.. It depends? What is it?"
"Make friends, pag may napakilala ka sakin kahit isang friend lang i'll give you a reward. Is that okay with you?"
Okaaay.. Mahirap 'to pero i'll try. Maganda mag reward si mom (i'm sure not money) that's for sure.
"I'll give it a try."
"That sounds good to me."
After dinner, my mind is stuck thinking about the event tomorrow. Madami na ko napuntahang book fair and events before pero never talaga ko nagkaroon ng legit friend. Nakakausap ko yung mga authors, i've interview them as well. Pero yung book nut like me, never. I hope this time magkaron na. Fingers crossed.
