Walking down the street, I find myself getting picked up by the police. I fought them but it was no use. I hadn't done anything wrong. Look, I'm five about to go to jail for what reason? That don't make no sense. Anyway, I'm just staring out the window. It kinda helps me get my mommy off my mind. She died while she was sleep. Well, that's what my beat down daddy told me. He's no good. Been to jail 10 times, didn't pay child support, and has 12 kids that he claims isn't his. I don't care. My mommy was my favorite anyway.

"Follow us." I sat in the car and looked at them. You think I'm going to follow some stranger. What I look like?

"Please its for your own good. We'll make sure you have a place to live, eat, and stay." The lady police said. She held her hand out. First I looked at it to see if it had germs. It does. I hopped down and walked away from them.

"She doesn't like people I see." I heard a man mumble. Of course I don't. I know how not to follow a stranger and how not to trust them. I'm not stupid.

They lead me into this building. The sign read, "Ms. Lynda's Children Center." Great, I'm in a adoption facility. Just great. I walked in the door to see a lot of big kids. I looked to my left to see babies. Then I looked to my right to see a lot of kids around my age.
