Guy's Night Out - 10

It wasn't until we left the bathroom that i realized Percy had a plastic Dollar General bag. 

"What'd you buy Annabeth?" I ask. He opens the bag and pulls out a can that says, 'Angry  Owl Spider Repellent. Kills on contact.' He smiles brightly.

"Wow." I pause, "It's useful..."

I had no idea where Leo, Jason and Frank were.

"Where are the others?" He asks, as if he was reading my mind.

"I don't know. To be quite honest, I was about to ask you the same thing."

"I think i heard Leo muttering something about a dining table when he left."

We consult the map and decide to go to Ikea first.

 When we walk into the store we spot Leo arguing with a store employee. We hear, "Of COURSE it will fit in the truck!" Percy walks up to him and mutters into his ear. "Whatever you're buying, if you keep arguing like this, they won't let you buy it. What are you arguing about, anyway?"

 He glances at the employee, who looked as if she 1) didn't want to be here at all 2) arguing with a bunch of kids who weren't much older than she and just 3) wanted her shift to be over, so she could 4) get paid.

"Well, this madam here," Leo gestures to the employee. "Doesn't think i can fit this table here," He turns around and gestures a little more angrily at a table with white legs and a dark wood top. "Into our truck." He looks around, trying to figure out where the truck was parked, based on where we were in the building, though he was completely lost. Eventually he gives up and adds, "Wherever it is."

The employee, Amy, her nametag read, gave an unimpressed nod along with a slight eyebrow raise. 

"I apologize, my friends are being unreasonable." I start, giving a bright smile. (That's my thing, though. Bright smiles, Apollo kids... They're practically interchangeable.) "This table is actually for my friend's girlfriend. See, when they met, he accidentally broke her dining table and-"

"I don't care." Amy cuts me off. "Just get the table out of here somehow." She flips her hair over a shoulder and rolls her eyes.

Percy and Leo explode into laughter.

"You should see your-" "Ohhh, mann. That didn't work out the way you planned it to, huh?? hahahahaha" 

I huff. Normally that works. Normally, they just say "okay" and go on with their lives. I was voted "Most Likely to Rob a Bank" by the Apollo cabin. That being said, i can get people to do what i want with. Not like Piper, who uses her charmspeak, but im just persuasive, i guess. It has always just worked. Until now.

"Alright," Percy breaks from laughter. "Let's get this table outta here." He said it like, Ott-a hea.

Leo, Percy and I grab a giant rectangular box, and set it in the cart. 

"So, any idea where Frank and Jason are?"

"Nope."

"Guess we should look for them, right?"
