"back at this shit hole again" I irritably sighed under my breath.
"Yeh guess so" my boyfriend replied, his shoulder length blonde hair moving with the breeze.
As we walked through the gates my stomach ached and my turquoise eyes burned as I struggled to keep them open. Late night. I looked over to Dom, his blue eyes remained cool as he walked through the door with confidence, holding it open for me. The summer had been short, Too short and life hadn't been too good during , no doubt school would make the ache in my mind worse. I didn't need it. Waste of fucking time. The door fell shut behind me as I grabbed Dom's warm hand and walked down the corridor falling slightly behind him. People blurred passed my vision as we walked by. I didn't have time to examine the swarm of people blocking the walkway. I'd seen them all before. Once we passed most of the classrooms we reached the lockers. Dom's friends were standing with their backs against a wall nearby examining their phones.
" look! There's Tom and the other guys Is it ok if I go and catch up with them?" Dom was delighted to see them after the long break.
"Sure I'll go and find my friends too" I lied. Once I was alone I'd probably just wonder the corridors avoiding people who I knew just because I knew them.
" great! I'll see you at break" Dom added, gently kissing me on the lips.
Once he pulled away his crowd of friends all retorted "oooo" ing sounds as I decided to carry on down the corridor, leaving Dom to catch up with his older friends who were in his classes from the year above.I paced down the corridor not really knowing what I was searching for, my locker I guess? My shoes tapped quietly on the floor but were drowned out by crowds of teenagers talking around me. I ran my fingers along the locker doors as I walked along until I reached the area my locker was in. I attempted to open the locker. The hinges were always stiff and it was believable that I'd get the least most functional locker in my year. I curled up my slim fingers into a fist and punched the lock repeatedly until it creaked open. I turned around embarrassed of the loud noise that I had made by punching the metal and that was when I saw him.
A boy was stood with his back to the corridor. His long brown hair lay on his shoulders, he stood against the locker, he was new I assumed as I hadn't seen him last term. He slung his scruffy bag from his back and emptied it's contents into the locker. He slammed the door shut behind him and peered over his shoulder as if he wanted to make sure no one was watching him, making a lock of his deep brown hair fall in between his eyes. That was when they hit me, his eyes. His beautiful ocean blue eyes. He remained turned around for a few moments as I just stared at him In awe as he returned my gaze with his rich blue eyes. A few seconds into our moment the bell rang for start of term assembly braking apart our awkward stares as the boy slammed his locker shut and swiftly made his way to the hall. Damm it I thought.
I carelessly threw my bag onto my back and headed in the same direction as the mysterious boy. Who was he?
