Gleeful Origins

7 years ago: Age 5.

"Hurry up Mabel!" Dipper called running through the forest. His cape flowed behind him.

"I'm coming!" Mabel called running behind him. She had a head band and a matching turquoise shirt. "Just cause your older than me doesn't mean you get to ditch me!" She called. Dipper stopped and turned back for Mabel.

"You OK sister?" He asked patting her back.

"I'm fine brother! I don't need you babying me!" She said running ahead.

"Hey wait up!" He called. Mabel suddenly stopped and Dipper bumped into her sending them spiraling off the cliff. They landing at the bottom with a thud.

"What did you do dummy?!" Mabel yelled rubbing her head.

"Well now we know why this place is called Gravity Falls!" Dipper joked.

"Well gravity sucks!" Mabel said getting up. She patted herself down and looked around. "Where are we?" She asked.

"Mother and Father won't be pleased." Dipper shuddered. Looking around. "This place is creepy."

"Stop being such a baby!" Mabel said confidently. "This place is so cool!" She started walking and then fell into a ditch. "Ow!"

"Are you OK?" Dipper called.

"Yea!" Mabel called back. "I'm just sick of falling today!" She stood up and noticed something under the leaves. She picked it up and looked through it. The were pictures of strange creatures that lived in Gravity Falls. It looked odd and had a six fingered hand on the front with a one inside it. There was also two gems hanging from a string inside it.

"What is that?" Dipper asked jumping into the ditch with her.

"Um... Its nothing." Mabel stuttered hiding the book behind her back.

"Wait are you actually not going to show me?" Dipper said confused. "Give me it!" He took it from her hands and started flipping through it. He stopped at a page and looked at the gems hanging from it. "This is just fake." Dipper said laughing. "It says these gems can make you float, read minds and such."

"Give me that!" Mabel said taking it back. "They may be fake but they are pretty!" She said. Putting the gem to her headband.

"That is true." Dipper said attaching his to his chest. He grabbed it and suddenly started to float. "Woah!" He called.

"How did you do that?" Mabel asked.

"I don't know?" Dipper replied. "I just grabbed the gem and thought about floating and I did!" Mabel grabbed hers and started to float as well.

"This so cool!" Mabel replied, she hovered down along with Dipper. "We have to promise never to tell anyone about this." She lifted out her hand and stuck out her pinky. "Promise?"

"Promise." Dipper said. but what they didn't know. That promise would one day, be broken.

2 years ago: Age 10

Dipper awoke to a scream. He looked around and saw that Mabel was missing. "Mabel!" He called. He put on his robe and ran down the stairs. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw his parents lying there dead and his sister standing over them. Knife in hand. "Sister! What did you do!" He screamed. She turned and dropped the knife.

"I didn't mean to!" She sobbed, "I don't know what happened!" She hugged her brother and cried into his arm.

"It will be ok." He told her, "I will sort this out." He grabbed the phone and started dialing. "Hello 911?......My parents are dead......

They got moved away from there parents house and moved in with there Great Uncle Stan. The murder was unsolved. Until one day.

"What is this?" Mabel said to herself while looking through the journal one night, "Will Cipher? A dream demon. He is a coward and is easy to bend to your will." Mabel got a idea. She took out a candle and started the incantation. Suddenly a blue triangle appeared.

"H-hello?" He stammered, "What d-do you want?" Mabel chuckled under her breath about how sniveling this creature was.

"I want to make a deal." Mabel said. Will looked around nervously.

"W-why?" He asked.

"I want everyone to forget about that little incident that happened, make it so they think it was a car crash or something." Mabel said. "And I want you to be me and my brothers personal servant forever."

"O-Ok but I want a body to posses." Bill said

"Ok deal!" Mabel said shaking his hand.

"So what b-body do I get?" Will asked. Mabel threw a old sock puppet at him.

"Here." She said. Bill sighed. Mabel put a leash on him and tied it to the end of the bed. "Brother!" Mabel called. Dipper came running into the room drinking a pit-cola. "Quick! Tell me how our parents died. Dipper looked at her awkwardly and then stared at Will.

"In a car crash a few months ago." Dipper said confused. "What is that?" He asked pointing to Will.

"That's our new pet! His name is Bill!" Mabel said.

"M-my name is W-Will, and I am not a pet." He protested. "I-I am a all powerful dream demon."

"Who stutters a lot." Mabel taunted. Dipper looked away from Will and at Mabel.

"So sister, Me and Stan were talking about a money making idea. A magic tent sort of thing where we do Magic  and stuff." Dipper explained. "We can call it the Gleeful's shack!"

"That's a good idea!" Mabel said, "Except the name, that is so stupid."

"Then what should we call it?" Dipper asked annoyed.

"What about the Tent of Telepathy?" Mabel suggested.

"That- That actually is a good idea." Dipper said. He turned and went down the stairs.

Now: Age 12

Mabel and Dipper sat in front of the TV eating ice cream went there ad came on.

"Who's cute as a button and always your friend? Little G-l-e-e-f-u-l ! Come on down to the tent of telepathy!"

"You know I hate that commercial right?" Mabel said.

"All of Gravity Falls loves it and its how we make money." Dipper explained. "Other then Stan's car dealership."

"I know just-" Suddenly there was a knock on the door.

"Not it!" Dipper called first.

"Darn it." Mabel groaned getting up and opening the door. "Hello?" A small boy stood there with white hair and blue eyes.

"Sorry im a little lost do you know where the Mystery Shack is?" He asked.

"What is your name?" Mabel asked curiously.

"Im Gideon Pines." He said, "Wait aren't you that girl from the ads?"

"Yup." She said. "The Mystery Shack is that way." She said pointing left.

"Thanks." He said nervously. "Bye."

"Bye" Mabel blushed. She turned and saw Dipper glaring at her. "What?!"

"You like him don't you." Dipper said eyeing her.

"No....no I don't." Mabel said.

"Well Wendy told me that Gideon is in town for the summer staying with his cousin Pacifica Southeast." Dipper explained, " We have a show in a few minutes so get ready." He said straitening his gem. He walked out the door but Mabel couldn't shake the strange feeling that overcame her when she looked at Gideon. Something she hadn't felt in a long time.
