The night of George's death nobody said a word Marmalade colored but was only using dark colors. Gerald took over the silk worm farm even though George didn't ask him to he thought it would be what he had wanted. Ross on the other hand sat in his room with his cotton ball bed and Barbie bedside table that was just the perfect size for him. Even though Ross had dozens of books and toys he chose to spend that day staring at the blank cement wall. "you know what?" Said Ross to himself "I gonna move on! And live my dream of being a desert explorer!" So Ross jumped up and walked out the door and cried " kids we are moving!" Gerald and Marmalade stared blankly at Ross. "is it April first?" Asked Marmalade. "Nope we are really moving." Scolded Gerald. "Gerald how do you know?" Asked Ross. "I was listening from the shadows..." "Well ok thanks for that Gerald lets go pack". Said marmalade. And off they went where you may ask well I'm not sure Ross had big dreams he just didn't know where the desert was he had heard of them and seen them in books he just wasn't sure how to find one. Meanwhile in the other room Marmalade was packing while Gerald laid on the floor crying about how he would miss his friends and his room and all that jazz. "Come on Gerald you will make new friends and have a new room and you know what I bet those new friends will like you for who you are!" Preached Marmalade. "Are you saying my old friends don't except me for who I am?" "Well I-" "Kids the wagons packed and we are ready to go!" Said Ross. "Let's go Gerald" Marmalade said. As Marmalade started walking she stopped and turned around to admire he lovely room for the last time. "Say goodbye guys!" Exclaimed Ross. Only Marmalade didn't say goodbye she just waved and mouthed "I'll be back..."
