The Takeover

The Signs

Ugh, I hate mornings. It's 9:00 am, school started at 8:30. I'm late, again! I have to walk the whole way to school since the buses already did their daily routes. I wonder why there are so many cop cars passing by. That's so odd. Finally I made it to sch...... wait where is everybody? There is absolutely nobody here. Something is wrong. Wait, I see a flyer. The flyer is a letter from the U.S. Army saying, "PLEASE RETURN TO YOUR HOME".

I sprint back home. I tried to call my parents but the phone won't work. WHAT DO I DO? Maybe I should go to Justin's house. I pack up everything I need then, I head towards Justin's house. There is still so many cop cars speeding around the neighborhood. There are even Military forces in the neighborhood now but, still no sign of anybody else.

As I get closer to Justin's house, I notice that none of his house lights are on and all of his windows are covered. I knocked when I reached the front door

"Hello, is anybody home?"

"What are you doing here Ryan?", says Justin's mother as she slowly opens the door.

"I was late to school today and as soon as I saw the note from the army I came straight home. Since my parents are at work I just came here.".

"Oh ok, well come in quick!"

Everyone in Justin's house seemed so worried and scared. I still have no idea why.

"Justin is in his room"

"Ok, thank you.". I desperately need to find out what is going on!

"Hey Justin"

"Hey Ryan"

"Dude, what the hell is going on?"

"You don't know? How do you not know?"
