Part 18 - The Happy End

*45 minutes later*

*Your POV*

You woke up and you found yourself in a different room. You wondered how did you get into someone else's bedroom.

"W-where am I...?" you moaned, holding your head.

"I'm glad that you're awake," a voice said.

You saw Nagaharu opening the door, bringing you some food.

"N-Naga-kun...?" you asked. "W-where am I?"

"You're in my room, (y/n)-san," Nagaharu smiled at you. "I bet that you are feeling tired now... after what happened before."

"W-where's... Satomu?"

"Oh, him? Don't worry, he won't bother you anymore."

"R-really?"

"Yes."

The news then interrupted the program later.

"We interrupt this program for this sensitive breaking news. This day, at 7:15 pm, Kiiroi Academy was swallowed by a huge fire. The firemen and policemen have arrived. The fire was so huge that the firemen will take longer time to put it out. However, the police have investigated the cause of fire. They stated that they discovered a burned school uniform lying on the school rooftop. They have also discovered an empty gasoline container and an empty matchbox. The suspect is yet unknown."

You looked at Nagaharu later with sad and questioning eyes. He saw you and then held his chest, feeling guilty.

"O-okay...!" he said in a cracked voice then started to cry. "I... I killed Satomu... and burned him!"

Nagaharu's cries got louder after. You went near him and comforted him by rubbing his back.

Just like the day you first met him.

"D-don't worry," you said. "I won't... tell the police about this. I will hide you from them."

"R-really, (y/n)-san!?" Nagaharu said in surprise. He hugged you back and cried on your shoulder. "Thank you, (y/n)-san!"

*3 months later*

*Nagaharu's POV*

I went to the classroom where (y/n)-san was. She saw me and wore a happy smile on her face.

"Naga-kun!" she happily said and went near me. She held my hands like she did before. I looked into her eyes.

"Um... (y/n)-san...," I said and blushed in pink. Let's go to the cherry blossom hills behind the school.

(Y/n)-san nodded.

After a few minutes, we went under one of the cherry blossom trees.

I looked at the pink petals falling upon us, and the sun shines so bright. Then, I looked at (y/n)-san's eyes. My face turned pink again.

"(Y/n)-san," I said in a sweet way. "I... I love you..."

(Y/n)-san's eyes widened and she smiled at me. Her eyes turned bright and she held my hands gently.

"I love you too, Naga-kun," she said tenderly. "I have now forgiven you. I accept your confession."

I gasped and hugged her tight. Then, I gave her a passionate kiss. Her lips are still warm like before. I clearly remembered the day I kissed her for the first time.

The days have passed. Yet, my love for (y/n)-san is still in my heart. Our relationship didn't damage her reputation though. I was even promoted to become the leader of the Martial Arts Club. And that was the first time I became popular.

We are now the popular couple of Kiiroi Academy.

But no one knows that I still commit murder to eliminate my rivals.

I no longer missed Miko-chan. It's because of (y/n)-san...
