(Abel's point of View)
Two years later
Abel bursts through the doors of his mother's chambers, he had just spent the day with Desmond a fellow Fairy, his best friend, whom he has strong feeling towards. They had spent the day at lake Crystallo swimming and basking in the sunlight. He stopped in the middle of the room to see his younger brother, Relinquo kneeling next to their mother's bed, sobbing softly. Relinquo motions for Abel to kneel next to him.
"Abel," their mother Mary's voice croaks out. She had been weak ever since the bloodbath between the council members. Only three survived, but Mateo; the Wizard, and Ignis; the Phoenix, had barricaded themselves inside the council library ever since.
"Yes mother," Abel replies tearing up.
"You are apart of the propho-." she is cut off by her violent coughing. She took a few heavy breaths then her chest stills. Abel starts to shake and shout at his mother's peaceful form begging her to wake up, while Relinquo's cries of grief become more loud and desperate. Relinquo slowly reaches out and closes their mothers eyes softly. They were then ushered out of the room, by the Royal Medic.
"What was she talking about?" Relinquo asks with a grief ridden tone. His tawny brown hair clung to his neck and he had tired, red tear streaked eyes. The only resemblance between them was their hair colour, instead of dark green eyes his brother had brown, like the bark of a tree.
"I have no idea." Abel replies wiping his tears away, only to be replaced with new ones. "What did Mother say to you before I got here?"
"To make her proud." Relinquo's eyes were glassy. Abel hugs his brother, being the only family he has left. When their mother was attacked two years ago, it left her vulnerable and weak, Abel was left to rule the fairy kingdom with his brother by his side. 'Why should Ignis and Mateo live, while everyone else was killed violently?' He asks himself.
"Brother, we shall get revenge for our beloved mother's death." Abel says with a shaky breath.
"We mustn't go against the rules of our kingdom, who knows what kind of chaos will emerge from those actions." replies Relinquo with a serious tone.
"You are just going to let our mother's death mean nothing?"
"You cannot go and get yourself killed, our kingdom needs you. Mother is no longer with us to guide us along the way. You can't just fight the most powerful duo in this region." Relinquo then turns on his heel and storms off down the long corridor to grieve in peace.

Abel watches as his Mother's corpse is being laid amongst the flowers and leaves in a wooden casket. Her marvellous crown is resting atop her head shining beautiful in the low Sun's Ray's . The casket is placed in the river then set alight by his younger brother. They watch, in tears as she slowly drifts down the river, starting a new journey to the afterlife.
"Your highness, plans need to be made for your coronation later this week." Reginald the butler says sorrowfully.
"Right now Reginald, my Mother has just been sent to the afterlife, and you ask me now?!" Abel snaps. He hated being mad at Reginald, he was like a Grandfather to him but what he is asking is too much to handle at this moment of time. Reginald bows, "I'm deeply sorry your highness." He replies, then turns to leave, resuming his daily tasks.
"Are you ok Abel, You seem tense?" Relinquo asks placing a hand on Abels shoulder.
"Of course I seem tense Relinquo, our Mother has just passed away and he's asking about my Coronation?!" Abel shouts at his brother.
"I was only asking, no need to shout." Relinquo says retrieving his hand from Abel's shoulder and walking away to leave him to his own thoughts.
Abel stares at the raging fire of his mother's corpse in the distance. His anger towards Ignis and Mateo grew and grew, until the flowers around him withered and died. 'I need to avenge my Mother's death by hurting Ignis and Mateo in the same way they did to Mother. I don't care how, but it's going to happen.' He thinks to himself.
