Chapter 3

Adrian

I heard a males voice and I got a feeling it was Avery. I got up and walked downstairs to where I heard his voice.

"This place is the shit" he said loudly I walked into the kitchen but stopped in my tracks when I saw how he looked

He stood at about 6'5, his hair was cut shorter, he was in shape and way cockier-ish, his face was perfect, from the jaw line to the facial hair.

When I was in the 4th grade he was in the 5th grade. He was ugly. He has braces, real bad acne, wore glasses and had wholes in his clothes. I wasn't the one to judge so I never messed with him back.

He turned around and jumped "Woah you scared me. What are you doing here?" He asked

"Um I got a letter from the mayor saying I been chosen to stay here for the summer and I'm guessing do did you?"

"Yes" he looked at me and squinted his eyes at me

"You look familiar" he stated

"Yeah you use to pick on me all the time when we was younger" I said looking down

"Wait are you Adrian Peterson?" He asked excitedly

"Unfortunately yes" I sighed

"Wow you look good" he said looking me up and down

"My face up here. Now I have some rules-" he cut me off

"No there ain't no rules it's summer break and Ima have fun. I don't about you but I'm having fun this summer" he said going to the refrigerator to get a bottle of water

"Well this all I have to say no girls over here, no drinking in the house, smoking ion mind as log as its outside, clean up after yourself and stay out my room" with that I walked out the kitchen

I went up to my room and took a shower. Since it was 98° outside I put on some short shorts and I crop top with some gold Michael Kors sandals. I walked out my room just run into him again.

"Ugh where you goin?" He asked

"Out" I said walking past him

"Um don't you think those shorts too short you can almost see your ass" he said

"First it's hot ass shit outside. Secondly stop looking at my ass weirdo" I said walking down the stairs. I heard him go in his room and slam the door

"Hello Adrian" Sergeo said

"Hey Sergeo"

"Where do you want me to take you today?" He asked

"I was wondering if I could drive myself around? I have my licence"

"Um Adrian I don't think that's a good idea the mayor insisted that.."

"I know your doing your job but I really just wanna live you know?"

"Yes I know. Ok you can take one of the cars that's in the garage just grab a key off the key rack and be back at.." he looked at his watch

"Um how do you read this thing? They gave it to me like I know how to read clocks" I giggled

"It says it's 11:53 a.m."

"Thank you be back at 4:53" he said

"Ok thank you so much" I hugged him and he tensed up

I grabbed a random key and went out to the garage and I hit the horn button to see which car I'm gonna be driving. The car made a sound and I walked over to it. I gasped when I saw an all white and red Challenger with red on the inside.

I looked to my right and saw the same exact car but instead of white it had black. I got in the car and it was a card with my name on it. I opened it and read it.

"Adrian I'm guessing you found which car you will be driving when you want to. Don't wreck this car cuz its yours to keep. Have fun~Mayor Harris"

I gasped and saw Sergeo standing there smiling. Then I saw Avery come out to the garage I looked down at my phone. He walked over to the car did the same exact thing as me. I looked to my right and saw him reading the card he smiled and looked over to me. I smiled at him and started the car.

I went to the mall to find me a swim suit since I forgot mines at home. I walked through the mall when I spotted Avery again. I'm starting to think he's following me. I turned around and walked the other way so he wouldn't notice me. But I was wrong.

"Adrian. Adrian. Wait up" he called. I stopped and turned around

"Yes?"

"You wanna grab something to eat?" He asked

"Yeah after I find me a swimsuit"

He nodded his head and we walked into this store that had cute swim suits. Once I picked which one I wanted out I paid for it and we went to Friday's to eat.

"So what's been going on?" He asked

"Nothing much just graduate from high school"

"Cool" he said

It was an awkward silence so I spoke up "I'm not the one to hold grudges but I still don't like you for what you did to me when we was younger"

"I was an ass wasn't I?" I giggled

"Yes you really was"

"I mean you was an ugly girl" he said looking over his menu

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me. Do you think the pasta is good?" He asked

"First off ass whole you wasn't too good looking yourself"

"Sweetheart listen..." He said

"No sweetheart you listen I didn't ask you to be here with me you asked me to lunch. Don't disrespect me like I'm some other bitch that you was with. I'm a woman not no little ass kid. So you can have lunch by yourself" I scooted my chair back and stood but before I left I grabbed my water and throw it on him and walked out.
