Rowan's POV

After the whole mother thing I was back in the classroom. No one would dare speak a word about my mother.

"This is what career day's mostly about." Cory said.

"Yeah,I love it evey year." I said and Maya nodded in agreement.

"I'm sorry Maya maybe she just got busy." Cory said with sympathy.

"And Rowan,I'm pretty sure your mother didn't mean to start anything." He said looking at me. I was upset and anyone could see that.

"Sure Matthews,sure." I said sadly.

"You two okay?" Riley asked.

"We're always okay." I answered and Maya nodded.

Riley held out her hands and we took them.

"Yeah,thanks." Maya said as Riley led us to Farkle and his father.

"So these are the ladies that keep chasing you huh?" Stuart asked his son.

Maya gave him a look and I simply glared at him.

"Please." Farkle begged.

"Yes sir it is us." Riley said and looked at me and Maya.

"We're not doing it." Maya said and Riley nudged us.

"Yes sir,it is us." Maya said.

"We hope that one day one of us will be lucky enough to be the future Mrs Farkle Minkus.And have many baby Minkii." I said still glaring at Farkle.

Rowan's POV

"Why won't you two share your art?" Riley asked us.

"Because we're..." Maya trailed off.

"We're fine believing that nothing much is gonna happen to us." I answered.

"Then we're full of hope." I said.

"You hope for things." Maya started.

"And you get disappointed." I finished.

"What reason could your mother have for not showing up?" Riley asked.

"Your right,I did expect her." Riley said.

"And I didn't.See one out of the three of us is disappointed." Maya stated.

"Yeah and one of us aren't going to let it go,you two know that." Riley said.

"Neither of us expect out of life,what you expect out of life Riles." I said.

"What do I expect?" Riley asked.

"You expect good things,you expect people to keep promises,to show up." I answered.

"You two don't?" Riley asked.

"We're not one of those dreamers like you Riley." Maya said.

"If your mothers saw your art,doesn't it make sense that they'd be proud?" Riley asked.

"Yeah.It'd make sense to you." I answered.

"Riley you need to be okay with this." Maya said.

"Do you understand that this time something is beyond your control?" Maya asked her.

"We know you can't control your twisted need to fix peoples lives." I said and she grabbed me and Maya's jackets.

"We're begging you." Maya said as a tear escaped our eyes.

Riley put our hair over our shoulders and crossed our hands.

She sent us her signature smile.
