You quietly opened the door to your dorm, not wanting to wake anybody. But luckily, no one was there. Sighing in relief, you closed the door and slid down. College was taking its toll on you. You just finished finals, and the thought of failing hung over your head. You stood back up and slowly walked over to your dresser. You quickly changed into comfortable clothing and slid into bed.

Despite how tired you were, it was impossible to sleep. The thought of failure kept on haunting you. You looked at the clock. It showed a bright red 11:32 pm. You groaned slightly and rested on your sighed, hoping a different sleeping position would do the trick. But you were wrong. The door opened and you closed your eyes. The last thing you wanted was to talk to people. The lights flickered on, "Y/N?" A soft voice said. Instantly, you knew it was Makoto, your roommate. The door closed and you heard footsteps walking towards your direction. It went right past you and to the dresser. You heard him strip and change into pjs. You heard his bed creak a bit under his weight. Makoto heaved out a sigh, he must have finished his finals too. You were starting to drift off to sleep when Makoto's phone rang. He picked up, "oh, hey Haru." You opened your eyes slowly and decided to listen.

You heard him speak, "yeah, I just finished my finals... Oh.. Y/N..." You kept listening. He breathed in, "no, not yet... I told you, I'm trying! It's harder than you think you know. Lot's of people are after-- Okay, okay. Fine. Yup... I'll practice. Okay... Bye Haru, goodnight." He hung up and you heard him sigh once again. You decided to try to sleep again until you heard him talking. "Y/N, I just wanted to let you know.... no, that won't work." You heard him give his face a light slap. "Y/N, since the day I met you, I knew you were the one... ugh!" He turned on his side. But on the other hand, you held your breath. Your face was flushed. Did he really mean that, you thought. Makoto tried again, "Y/N , you are the most amazing person in the world...please go out with me!.. Gahhh!" He slapped his hands onto his face. He turned on his other side and whispered, "I love you, Y/N." And with that, he drifted off to sleep.

You awoke the next morning, still tired as heck. You sat up and rubbed your eyes, the dorm looked... bright that morning. Usually, Makoto kept the curtain closed in the morning so you could continue to sleep. But that didn't happen today. Remembering last night, you blushed. He... confessed to you. Well, not face to face. But in a way, it was still a confession right? You stood up and rubbed your tired eyes. You looked around the small room. A sweet smell was lingering. Waffles. Freshly made waffles were sitting on your dresser. Next to it was a note with your name on it. You grab them and ate. Once you were done you got back up. You placed your hand on the doornob but someone opened it before you could. Makoto. He jumped and his face flustered, "m-morning Y/N." You yawned a good morning. You looked up and noticed how handsome he looked. A button up shirt, jeans, his hair was done. It was like he was going on a date. But also, he had his hands behind his back. "Watcha got there?" You looked and he moved away, "nothing!" You chuckled, "really?" He nodded, "yup.. No... Listen Y/N, I have to tell you something." You tried not to blush, thinking about what he may say next. "What?" You looked at him. He looked down as his face flustered even more, "Y/N... For the longest time.. I've liked.. Loved you.. Youre just a really amazing person who I'd adore to be with. Can you do me do honor of being my--" "Yes." You interrupted. He blushed, "w-what?" You chuckled, "yes. Makoto, I heard you rambling last night. I heard everything... You confessed." He turned away, "I.. Did not know that." You smiled and stood on your toes, placing a quick peck on his cheek, "yup. Anyway, Im happy to be yours." Makoto let out a charming giggle and hugged you tight, "I love youuu!" You laughed and smiled, "I love you too, you big teddy bear!"
