P R O L O U G E

5 MONTHS AGO...

A dark haired boy sat alone, on a sidewalk dripping with the sudden outburst of rain.
He took his hood and pulled it over his head and continued to stare at the puddle in front of him.

That was until he heard faint gunshots, he quickly got to his feet and took of running.
As he turned the corner of an alley way, a group of guys stood by a bin, smoking and drinking alcohol. The boy walked closer and the guys turned around. They reeked of strong alcohol and tobacco and most were drunk off their own feet.
"Hey, yo Brody, care to join us" the first one slurred as he took another large gulp from the bottle.
"No, did you hear the gunshots though?" Brody asked, water dripped off his noes and onto his hoodie.
"I don't remember, all I remember was seeing a girl with a sweet ass" another one said.

These assholes are no help! Dammit!

Brody nodded and began to run back out the alley way and back onto the pavement. Another gunshot went off and Brody followed the sound of the gunshots. As he got closer, screams and yelling could also be heard, as if the gunshots weren't enough to terrify an young boy.

Brody slid to a holt down a dark alley. He peeked around the corner to see a group of people with masks over their faces and...

Shit Corey!

Corey, one of Brody's friends was kneeled on the ground. Brody slid on his mask from his pocket so it covered all his face but his left eye was still in view.
The group stood before Corey laughed and the leader held a gun to Corey's head.
"Haha! You know when someone doesn't do as their told they get punished" cackles the leader.
"I...I'm sorry I'll try harder" splutters Corey, trying to beg for his life.
"To late, 3 months to late" yells the leader.
"You know, I could say the same" A voice growls.

Brody, who has now got a mask on, walks out from the darkness of the alleyway.
"Who the fuck are you?" Asks the leader , still pointing the tip of the gun at Corey.
"Your worst Nightmare!" says Brody bluntly walking towards the gang.
"Wait, your Nightmare?" Asks the leader, stunned to see Nightmare.

Well I guess they've heard of me huh?

That's the prologue of my new story. Don't worry the chapters will be longer but as this was a prologue it didn't have to be long.

I have a lot planned for this story and seeing as ABAY is now finished and book 2 won't be out for a bit, I wanted to do another story and this is a different genre so I felt like trying it out.
