As soon as the bell for end of school rang, Riley ran out the gate to catch the subway home. On the subway she texted Lucas.
Riley: hey are we still on for tonight
Not long after Lucas replied
Lucas: of course , but instead of your house can you meet me at the park
Riley: sure, why?
Lucas: can't tell. It's a suprise
Now Riley was even more excited and had to pick out an awesome outfit. I know she thought I'll text Maya. But then she remembered their fight. Who would help her now. Maybe she was a bit hard on Maya, but Lucas was hers now and Maya shouldn't be a boyfriend stealer. At thinking that Riley just realised something. Lucas was a boy, not an object. She didn't own Lucas. She sighed and fell back onto her bed. She hadn't realised how selfish she was being. She made a promise to herself that right after her date with Lucas, she would find Maya and apologise. She just hoped she wouldn't be to late.
