I stare at him.

The evil creature that lays in his bed, snoring.

I sit on a wood chair, handcuffed.

I look for a clock.

4:29 am.

I have not slept.

How can you with HIM 6 feet away?

There's no one to help me.

His mom doesn't live with him.

His dad lives way across the country in California.

I try to pull, but once again, it cuts me.

Flinn said if I scream, he'd burn this house down.

With me in it.

Or worse.

Kill Louiee.

I don't know how I haven't seen this side of him.

We were together for 3 years.

4:35

He's about to wake up.

The alarm will go off in exactly 5 minutes.

So I have 5 minutes to GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE.

I try sliding the other cuff that's attached to my leg up.

Nope, blocked.

Oh My Gawd.

4:37

2 minutes.

My heart begins to thump rapidly, my throat grows a knot, and my palms become sweaty.

Do. Not. Cry.

4:39

Oh no.

A single tear slowly slides down my left, unbruised, cheek.

4:40.

BEEP BEEP BEEP!

BEEP BEEP BEEP!

Flinn smacks the prism of plastic.

"Good morning."

I look away from him, and towards the window.

"Come on, don't be rude."

"Good. Morning."

"That's better."

He tosses the covers off of him and gets up.

"Sleep good?"

"I didn't."

"Well.. I did."

He tucks my stray hair behind my ear,

"This can be a happy thing or a sad thing. Don't make it worse, please."

I glare at him,

"Leave me alone. You have to get ready for school."

He walks into the bathroom and closes the door.

He takes hour showers, I have more time!

I run my left hand through my hair.

Bobby Pin!

I slide it out my hair.

Flinn busts out the door,

"I have tutorials today,

so I'm not taking a shower."

Fruuggee.
