Nate and I hadn't talked for months. We were both completely okay without one another. We had dated other people, mostly me. I'm not quite sure why I did, because I never got over Nate.
One day my phone buzzed, I thought nothing of it. I picked up the phone as normal, read the message, and replied. The second I realized who had texted me I froze. Was something wrong, did something happen, or did he just want to talk? It didn't make any sense. Why was he doing this? Why now? We were just starting to be okay without each other.
The problem was that I was happy he wanted to talk to me. We talked for the next few days. The weekend my
parents went out of town I cleaned the house and got my nails done. Just doing all the things I needed to get done before babysitting that night.
He was grounded, no shocker there, so he couldn't hang out with any friends but still asked me to go to lunch with him. We went to lunch, came back to my house and just goofed around. Nothing bad happened. We just talked, it was really nice.
Just friends, that's what we had decided on. We could do that. It was going to be the best thing for us because we knew that we don't work out as a couple.
Going to a movie and dinner doesn't always have to be a date. Well I mean that's what we thought, until we kissed durring the movie. Right then and there was the moment I realized I can't live without him. Nate was my first love and he is going to be my only love.
