“Now bend,” says my yoga instructor, Liam. I roll my baby blue eyes as I bend down in my tight black leggings following his instructions. I curse under my breath as I see my brother Louis, and his friends Harry and Zayn walk past me. Harry has always had a thing for me and I knew that me bending over like this wouldn’t go unnoticed. I glare at Harry as he mouthed “damn” at me causing Zayn to snicker, and Louis to punch Harry’s arm. As I’m about to bring my attention back to Liam, I see a blonde, tatted and pierced boy trailing behind them. I can’t help but hold my gaze on him, his eyes meeting mine. He gives me a mocking wink, which causes me to blush, and break the stare. I could hear him chuckling as he walked down the hall to the men’s locker rooms.
“Everly!” I hear Liam’s voice call out, snapping me back to reality. I look around the room, seeing my friend Vanessa snickering at me. “We’ve been out of the downward dog for five minutes.” Liam huffs, causing me to sit crossed legged like everyone else in the class. He finishes up with some stupid joke, the class slowly clearing out. I turn to Vanessa while we’re rolling our mats up.
“Who was that blonde guy who walked past us?” I say trying to sound as nonchalant as possible.
“The one you couldn’t keep your eyes off of? That’s Niall.” Vanessa replies, giving me a mocking smile. I ignore her teasing actions and continue on with my questions.
“Is he new here, I’ve never seen him around.”
“Yeah, he moved here from Chicago a couple weeks ago, hot right?”
I shrug, but I feel my cheeks heat up in embarrassment. Vanessa laughs, already knowing the answer. We finish gathering up our things in silence, making our way to the women’s locker rooms.
I was in the middle of laughing at something Vanessa said as we made our way out the gym going to my Jeep. My laughter stopping as I feel my body collide with someone else’s. This only caused me to laugh harder until, I turned to see who it was. My eyes studied his perfect body, eventually making their way up his fully inked torso, arms and neck eventually landing on his bright blue eyes. I feel my face flush red as he gives me a smirk, his pearly white teeth pulling at his lip ring.
“Sorry, I didn’t see you.” I say my gaze focused at the gym’s tile flooring.
“I find that hard to believe, the way you couldn’t take your eyes off of me when I walked past you,” his smirk widening into a cheeky grin.
I looked up to see this, fighting off the urge to roll my eyes at him. I hated guys who were like this, cocky, arrogant, and rude. Without another word I turned away from Niall, which caused him to laugh. I walked out to my car, my mind replaying everything he said to me. The way he smirked, winked, played with his lip ring between his teeth, his laugh. As much as I didn’t want to be drawn to him, I was.
