Chapter 10 : Preparation for the Tournament

"Is everyone ok?" Father asked.

"My arm is bleeding really bad"
Brix said.

"Don't worry mate, our Healers at Ubec will do the job" Cy cheered him up.

The others were fine. Julie was still paralyzed and still can't speak. Other than that she was fine. Moments later the real darkness started to spread cause it was 6 pm. All of us took a break at the Town Hall meeting room. We started off with silence until Father spoke.

"I apologize for leading you all to this mess. I fully take responsibility. I should've just let them have our weapons." He apologized.

"And what leave them alone?" Thor started. "Atleast we encountered her."

"Rulers, listen" I joined "She said she well get revenge. It would be smart enough to make a defense plan."

Everbody agreed.

"It's very hard to plan this at the moment because the Annual Tournament of the Legends is going on, in the next 2 days. Now what do we do? We don't know where and when she'll attack, it could be at Common Ground (Brix's Village),
The Emporium (Thor's Village) or even here! Do any of you guys have any strategies, plans or suggestions?"

No answered. Everyone was thinking of one strategy.

"Everyone," Julie started moving. Let's not mind her yet. We'll deal with her after the Tournament."
She suggested.

"I agree." Mother replied. The others agreed too.

"Where will be Tournament held?" Thor asked.

"I'd say here in Ubec. This Village is the strongest and is already at stage 8 at the Town Hall. You have a big Arena in your Barracks which is perfect. Do any of you agree?"

All of the Rulers raised your hands except the for us. We looked at Father and Mother.

"Will you let it be held here, King Bebang and Queen Christine?"

The two looked at each other.

"We're fine with it" Mother replied.

"Then it is set. I'll be seeing all of you in the next two days at our Barrack's" Father added.

All of us shaked hands and then they left.

"Let's all get some rest." Father yawned.

"Julie, darling?" Mother called. "It's dark out there. Stay here, sleep with Marson if that's fine by you?"

"I appreciate your hospitality my Queen. I would gladly stay." She gave her a nice smile.

"Alright young couple you may go"

We went to our Rooms to take a rest. I looked around and my room and saw it was really dirty, while Julie was still coming in the stairs. I used my magic to clean the place. Perfect timing because she arrived.

"Nice room you got" she investigated the place.

"Thanks." I smiled.

She sat down in the Bed.

"Where shall I sleep?" She questioned. "You can sleep in my bed. I'll sleep at the floor."

I'm trying to be a gentleman here.

"You sure?" She gave me a worried look

"Yeah yeah! I'm sure. I'm just gonna ummm set my bed."

I blushed. Then grabbed my blankets, Pillows, all the bed stuff to sleep on. She laid down the Bed and released a sigh.

"This is the life. Night Prince" she closed her eyes.

"Night... Princess" she giggled.

What was I thinking! Was she offended? Was it too cheesy? Ooooo why did I say that.
I noticed something, that she looks beautiful even doing nothing. She looks like a Goddess to me. One crazy day and yet I'm smiling because of her.

I kept staring at her until I fell asleep.

A few hours has passed and the light of the Sun was visible. The ray spread through the Room.

"Wakey wakey, Sleepy Head" Julie kicked my shoulder.
"Good Morning, My lady" I greeted, and this time with no regrets.

"Good morning to you too, darling"

Holy sh*t did she just call me darling. Focus Marson, Focus! I smiled and stood up. We went down and realized that my parents weren't home.

"They must have a session in the Barracks, let's go catch up."

We left the Town Hall and walked to the Barracks. As we arrive we saw that we were the only one late.

"Good morning, Lords. What have we missed?" Julie asked.

"Take a seat Lord of the Wizards, and Marson" Dad said.

"Only Marson? No Prince or any names at all?" I joined.

"Shut up Marson!" Father pointed. "Now, we were just about to give you the news about how many are about to compete, now we don't know the names yet, or where they come from, but, they are expected to be here. There are 8 of them. As Leaders we will also have a 'Friendly Battle'"

Everyone had a smile on their face. Lord Brix added "This should be interestring."

"Let me finish," Father continued. "The winner will be the one to face the champion. New rule also, only the Master leagues can join but as leaders it could be at any league at all. If you win against the champion of the fight. You might have a chance to be promoted at the Champion's League, as easy as that and it could be either a competative battle or... Death Match. Who among you are in favor?"
