Chapter 68

Emma's pov
I get out of bed. Babe where you going Jax asked. I'm going to check on the noise I said. Em you're just hearing things you'll see nothing is gonna be there he said. We'll see I said. I go to kitchen. I don't see anything but I don't feel safe. I get a knife and go back to my room. I put the knife on the bed stand. Was there anything Jax asked. No I said. Told you there was nothing he said. Ok whatever let's just go to sleep I said. I fall asleep but I hear the noise again. Ok you had to hear that noise that time it was loud I said. I heard something but it's nothing he said. I'm going to heck on the twins I said. As I walk to the nursery somebody wraps their arm around my neck and covers my mouth. I can barley breathe. Surprise Emma they said. I try to remove their arms around my neck but I couldn't. Don't try you'll just make it worse any last words before you die they said. I remove their hand off my mouth. Jax I yelled. The person throws me to the ground and leaves my house. Jax walks up to me. Emma what happened Jax asked. Somebody was in the house and started chocking me I said. Are you okay he asked. Yeah I'm okay I said. Jax picks me up from the ground. And you didn't hear anything just imagine if I didn't check for a second time something could have happened I said. Well it's over now let's go to  sleep he said. Jax carries me to our room and puts me on the bed and covers me with the blanket. Thank you I said. Anything for you he said. Jax kisses me forehead and gets in bed. I fall asleep. In the morning. I change into my uniform drop off the kids at the daycare and go to school. See you during lunch Jax said. Yeah I said. I kiss Jax. I leave school and go to the nail salon. I go back to school while it was lunch. Hey hot stuff Jax said. Aw Jax I said. It's taco Thursday want some he asked. Sure I said. Emma Alonso to the main office the loud speaker said. I'll be right back I said. I go the main office to see the principal. The new principal is this old guy who for some weird reason that smells like blue cheese he also looks like Mario but if you say that in front of him he'll give you detention or even suspension. (A/N that Mario thing comes from my principal) His  name is Mr.Lopez. Hello Mr.Lopez I said. Hello Emma we need to talk have a seat Mr.Lopez said. I take a seat. So I was watching the security cameras and I saw you yesterday and today leaving school and coming back why he asked. Well you see the thing is... I said. Emma I'm sorry but if you not gonna come to school I should just expelled you shouldn't I he said. No no no I promise I'll come to school just give me one more chance I said. Okay fine but if you do this one more time you're gonna be expelled he said. I promise it won't happen again I said. I go back to the cafeteria. What happened Jax asked. Nothing I said. Ok here's your taco he said. Jax gives me a tray with two tacos. Thanks I said. I take a bite out of the taco. Yum I said. I hear yelling. I turn around and I see Daniel and Mia arguing then they start kissing then they stop and look at me. Mia walks up to me. Hey friend Mia said. What I asked. I'm so stupid for trying to destroy your happiness now that I'm happy I want everybody to be happy Mia said. Mia walks back to Daniel and begins kissing him again. Wow so now we need to convince Samantha an Cameron's mind Jax said. No just Samantha Cameron already told me he changed his mind I said. The police comes ok the cafeteria. A  police officer walks up to Jax. We found out who broke into your house last night a police officer said. Who Jax asked. Cameron the police officer said. Cameron I said. Yep the police officer said. We're arresting him right now so after he's in jail he won't harm you guys anymore the police officer said. The police officer leaves. You called the cops I asked. Yes you almost died he was chocking you Jax said. When did you call them I asked. In the morning when you were dropping off the twins at daycare he said. Oh I said. And you said he's on our side he said. I didn't know he was lying I said. You already know how he is Em he's a fucking lair he'll do anything for you he said. I know I know let's just forget about it he's in jail now I said. Later that day I was home on the couch scrolling through my Instagram while Jax was at the park with the twins. I hear a door bell. I open the door and it was  police officer. Is Jax Novoa home the police officer asked. No I said. You're his wife he asked. No but my I'm his girlfriend I said. Can you tell Jax when he comes home that a girl named Samantha forced Cameron to do what he did and now Samantha is in jail he said. She forced him I asked. Yes he said. How long are they gonna be in jail I asked. 2 years but don't worry if you want a restraining order from them we can get you one he said. Yes please I said. Ok just come to the police station to get the paper work done he said. Okay I said. Later that day Jax comes home. Baby the police came I said. What did they say he asked. They said that Samantha forced him to do what he did. They're gonna be in jail for 2 years and I want a restraining order on them I said. Well the good thing is that all of this is over and we can finally enjoy our little family he said. Yeah I said. I kiss him.

7 years later aka the present

Emma's pov
So that's what happened when I was gone Andi said. Yeah then a year later me and Jax moved into this house and we graduate I said. Just imagine if they didn't go to jail and you didn't change E's mind she said. Yeah I said. So if Mia put Daniel in jail why did they date she asked. Oh they broke up and got into a big fight so that's why she got him in jail but they got back together when he went to jail I said. Oh she said. Later that day. The twins come back from school. Mommy what do you think about our principal liking you Elizabeth asked. Elizabeth that's not a appropriate question to ask mommy I said. Sorry she said. It's okay I said. I kiss Elizabeth's forehead. Mommy I can't reach the pop tarts Christopher said. No sweets before dinner I said. But daddy lets me eat then whenever I want he said. That's your daddy I'm your mommy I said. You're so good with them Andi said. Thanks but it's not easy taking care of two kids at the same time they always fight I said. Why never fight Elizabeth said. Yeah okay I said. We don't Christopher said. Do they know Andi asked. No I said. When are you gonna tell them she asked. I don't know I said. Jonathan walks in. Jonathan how did you get here Andi asked. Get in the car Jonathan said. Why Andi asked. Get in the fucking car he yelled. Ok she said. Andi gets into his car. Don't curse around the twins I said. Jonathan takes out a gun. Elizabeth and Christopher hugs me. Mommy am I going to die Elizabeth asked. No we're not don't worry we'll be okay I said. Why the fuck are you letting Andi live in your house she's fucking marry and has a kid with me you can't do this he yelled. You can't abuse a woman too but you do it anyways I said. I don't fucking abuse Andi he said. Mommy I'm scared Christopher said. Can you just put the gun away there are little kids here I said. Like they never seen a gun their fucking dad is a cop he said. Yeah but we don't let them play with it or even touch it I said. I take out my phone and give it to the Christopher. Call daddy and tell him what's happening I whispered. Okay Christopher said.

Jax's pov
I get a call from Emma. I answer it. Hey beautiful I said. Daddy Christopher said. Oh Chris why are you calling me I asked. Jonathan is at our house and has gun he said. Why is he there? Are you safe? Is Elly and your mom safe? I asked. They're safe right now but I don't know what's gonna happen later just come home please he said. Ok I'll be home soon very soon I said. I get into my car and drive home. I walk in and I see Jonathan with a gun. Jonathan I said. Jonathan turns around. What are you doing here at my house with a gun I asked. Playing pretend he said. Just go home and never come to my house ever again I said. Jonathan leaves. I thought I was gonna die Emma said. I hug her. Why was he here I asked. He got mad that Andi was gonna spend the night I said. So he came here to try to kill you I said. Basically she said. Can I please put him in jail I said. No she said. If you were dating someone who abuse you would you want him in jail or no I said. In jail but you don't know want Andi wants she said. I gonna finish my shift for today I'll be home in a hour or so I said. Okay bye she said.
