The rain poured down as you sat on a park bench. Your boyfriend broke it off today. His name is Kim Taehyung, you guys had been together for about three years going on four. But suddenly he decided that things weren't really going well and you seperated.
V sat on his bed. He just ended things with his long term girlfriend Y/N. He felt that she needs more attention, attention that he can't give with his idol schedule. Y/N was the most beautiful girl he's ever seen and he barely had any time to spend with her since he became an idol. They had dated for a year before his debut with BTS and since he has only been able to see her a couple times a month and has resorted to texting and face timing her whenever he had time. But Y/N deserved someone who could be with her and love her on a daily basis.
V's thoughts were interrupted by a text from Y/N "Hope you do well in your concert. Even though we're not dating I'll support you" . V stared at the text. Then he decided he must see her. Scrambling out of his bed he ran to the park.
There you were staring at the sky with childlike wonder on your face. You had always loved the rain and when it rained you sometimes dragged V to this spot to watch the rain. "Y/N?" V called in a broken voice. You glanced over and your E/C eyes widened. V approached you. "I knew you'd be here." he said. You just nodded. "Listen I-" He started but you stood. "V if this is about getting back together I can't. I don't want to be that kind of girl." You said and walked away leaving V standing alone in the rain.
V stared at you as you retreated. "Y/N!" He yelled you turned again. "Please?" He begged tears streaming down his face. "I need you." His voice broke. "I just felt we couldn't be happy together. With my schedule and your work there was never time for us to actually be together. I just wanted to make you happy and I felt if you could be happy with another man I would be happy for you. But then when I got your text I realized I couldn't be without you. That I made a mistake. And if this is the end, what about everything we planned what about all of the time we spent together? Yeah we've had breaks but this one felt it would last forever and once that hit me I realized I can't live without you. That if you left my life would be empty. So please come back!" He begged.
You felt tears running down your face. "Taehyung. No V." You started. He looked hurt you always called him Taetae. "I just can't. Yes we've had breaks that's why this has to be permanent. It's not healthy we should be able to be together without scenes like this. I can't be in a relationship where we break up every other month. Also I have to leave anyways, I'm going to college in America. It would have never worked out. Mabye if I ever come back we can try again. But not now, right now you have to focus on work and me on studies." You reasoned. "I understand but we could always find a way to fix this. We could speak more often to avoid misunderstandings. We could exchange international numbers. There is always a way!" He exclaimed. You shook your head. "We can be friends we can do all that but I won't do it as boyfriend and girlfriend. I'll do it as one friend to another. Taehyung our relationship is not working just let it be. Your the one who cut it off in the first place."
"But I was wrong to do that! And why must we stick to being friends? You know how I feel about you." He sobbed. "V." You said softly. "This is why we can't be together romantically. All we do is hurt one another. It's either friends or nothing." You gave him an ultimatum. "Friends!" he cried out.
"Okay. Ill contact you. Remember I will always love you but you have to move on okay. And this is the last time." You said. "Wha-?" He started but was cut off as you walked back over to him and kissed him one last time. During the kiss you shoved a piece of paper into his pocket. Once the kiss broke you walked away. V pulled out the paper and stared at it
It read "here is my phone number. It should work in about five days. You can contact me then.

V looked back up and saw your retreating figure he wanted to call out but his voice failed him and the only thing V could do was watch as the girl he loved left his life forever.
