[June 28th, 2015]

I woke up that morning in Gomez's room. When I realized what had happened, I quickly slipped out and got dressed. I had a massive hangover-my head was pounding and I felt nauseous. Gomez hadn't been in his room when I got up-oh god, did he remember anything about last night? I did.

Sure enough, when I tiptoed downstairs, he was there. Coffee in one hand, cigarette in the other-he was a mysterious man, a dark enigma. The kids were playing in the next room. "Morning, Morticia," he said, hugging me lightly. "Morning," I said. I was blushing.

"About last night..." he trailed off. "We can pretend it never happened, if you want..." I said, embarrassed. Gomez shook his head. "No, no. We are married, after all. Nothing to be ashamed of. Listen, Morticia...I know that you have feelings for me. I can see it in the way you talk, the way you position yourself around me, what you do."

He sipped his coffee and I grimaced. "Am I that translucent? I was going for opaque." He laughed. "God...It's not in a bad way. You-I'm warming up to you. At first things were hard...because of Carolyn, you know. I missed her, still do. But I've come to realize you can never be Carolyn, and she can never be you. That's just how it is."

I was made equal parts hurt and happy by his confession. "I know I can never replace her, and that's okay. I just want to be made pretty and perfect in your eyes. I could never be that to Vlad...I want to be something to you, be special to you. If that's ok."

Gomez's eyes sparkled and he smiled. "Yes, dear. That's perfect. Would you mind if we sat down while the kids are playing, learn more about each other?" I nodded. We sat down and Gomez handed me a cigarette. I lit up and we went to our task.

"Favorite color?" he asked me. "Black," I laughed. "Why didn't I guess that?" he said. I shrugged. "How about you? Favorite food?" "Spaghetti," he said, stirring his coffee. "Really? Me too!" I laughed. We went back and forth asking each other questions-before I knew it, it was nearly lunch time.

"What a perfect man," I breathed that night as I got ready for bed. "What a perfect day."

Hey everyone! Sorry for the short chapter. I got bored and thought I'd type something up. :)

What did you think about this chapter? Let me know in the comments below! Don't forget to comment/vote if you enjoyed! Every read, comment, vote, and add means the world to me.

I have a new story called "berkeley", it's kind of a murder mystery similar to Pretty Little Liars. I would really appreciate if you would take a minute to read/vote/comment/etc. I really need your support to get it off the ground. :)

As always, thank you so much for your support! I love you all!
