Embarrassment

The class went on with the introductions. I kept glancing back and forth at Emily, carefully looking at her so that no one would notice. I dont know why but it's like she's so........ irresistable

"Hmph pervert" whispered Isabelle

Oh that's right Isabelle's sitting on my other side. Her face seemed annoyed even though I didn't do anything to her

"Uh rude" I replied
"I just found her......interesting"
I said while shrugging

Isabelle's eyebrows furrowed and she looked me straight in the eye. I stared straight back at her noticing her innocent eyes that would make anyone guilty if she wanted to. But I guess that was the wrong decision because she started pinching my shoulder.

<Hmph you think that excuse would work? I'm not that simple>
thought Isabelle

"I know there's something else you feel about her" said Isabelle

"What do you mean?" I asked while pulling off her pinch on me

Isabelle replied
"You know what I me-"

"The couple over there" said Sir M disrupting Belle's reply

"Seems like you two are busy being sweet, why don't you share your thoughts with us"

The whole class laughed, all of them thinking that us being a couple isn't possible because Isabelle was "too good" for me. I didn't  care because I've always thought of Isabelle as my little sister, but it still hurt my pride

I looked at Isabelle and she was speechless. So I decided to act

"Don't worry sir. We're just best friends and actually our topic was about........ super powers" I said without thinking

"Super powers? Like what?" Replied Sir M

"Specifically about ......Mind Reading" I replied with a smirk

"Huh you believe in those kinds of things?" Said sir M as if intrigued

"Want me to show you? I'll read your thoughts right now" I said confidently

The whole class laughed again as if I was gonna embarrass myself. Then I noticed Isabelle holding my hand and shaking her head signaling "no"

"Bring it" replied Sir M sarcastically

Hah I just set the teacher in my trap. Mind Reading is actually one of the things I'm good at.

I laughed in reply then proceeded to read his thoughts

But

There wasn't anything in there which was VERY unusual. This is the first time for me. It's like something's blocking me from entering his mind

(Awkward Silence)

"Are you done yet?" Said Sir M laughing

"Wait, give me time I can do this" I replied sweating

"Stop embarrassing yourself dude"
"Yeah, it's even making me cringe"
Said my several classmates

"Ok Lucas since your 'power' is done why don't you just sit down and keep quiet" said Sir M

I really just embarrassed myself in front of everyone which was the one thing I didn't want to happen. I just followed the teacher's order and sat down. I looked at Isabelle and she sighed as if dissapointed and then I looked at Emily and she seemed uninterested at what just happened

I learned my lesson and I kept quiet the whole period.

(Lunch Time)

Emily went outside immediately. I guess she didn't want to hang over with a loser like me. So that means I dont need to guide her to school anymore

Isabelle came up in front of me and gave me a box of milk

"I'm sorry. It was all my fault, I started talking to you even though class was on going" said Isabelle while frowning

I took the milk and drank it in one sip
"Don't worry I'm not angry at you. I don't care what other people think of me anyways" I replied

Isabelle frowned even more
<If you say it like that you're making me more guilty>  thought Isabelle

I stood up and patted her shoulder while smiling

"Hey can you come with me to the rooftop? I wanna tell you something"
I said

"Huh? Why? Can't you tell it to me here right now?" Replied Isabelle

"It's a little important" I replied

I could see that little smile forming on her lips. She immediately covered her mouth  with both her hands

"Ok" said Isabelle smiling sweetly
