🌊Evian🌊

It'd been a couple weeks since the Ceremony, and a few of my friends had already found some luck in the whole process. Aquarius had found his soulmate. It was a girl he worked with, named Delta. She was a pretty blonde and her determined, sometimes tenacious attitude worked well with Aquarius's passive-aggressive personality. I was happy for him, but a bit surprised he'd found his soulmate in such a short amount of time.

The morning after they found each other, Aquarius explained to me and Aqua how it all went down.

"She was filling up the boat with supplies, and for the first time, she just looked different, ya know? I mean, she was always pretty, but when I saw her yesterday...it's like I woke up."

The way he described it made falling in love seem like the most magical thing on the Elements.

"We were on the same rotation that day, and I went up to her, not really expecting anything different. But then my necklace just started glowing, and hers did too. And she was like, 'Does this mean we're soulmates?' And I was like, 'Yeah, I think it does.' And then she was like, 'Well if we're soulmates, I suppose we should go on a date. Get to know each other outside of work. How's Friday for you?'"

"She asked you out?!" Aqua exclaimed in shock.

"Yeah! I was really surprised. But to be honest, it's kinda hot when a girl makes the first move." Her brother smirked, and Aqua rolled her eyes.

"So what did you say to her?" I asked.

"I said, 'I think so too. And Friday is perfect.' Then she just went in for the hug. No handshake or anything. But I guess we are soulmates, so a casual greeting isn't really necessary."

"Wow. She seems really..."

"Different?"

"I was gonna say eager. But yeah, different too, I guess. I think I'd be a little scared of a girl who came on so strong," I admitted with a laugh.

"Not me. She's just...awesome."

"Where are you taking her for your first date?" Aqua wanted to know.

"I don't know yet."

"Dude! That's like, number one in the rule book. You have to plan the dates," I told him.

"Seriously? I have to do all the work?"

"Girls like a romantic guy," Aqua agreed with me. "You have to plan the date. Pick out where to go, open doors for her, be a gentleman. All girls like that, trust me."

"But we just said that Delta is different. Maybe she wouldn't like all that stuff," Aquarius pointed out.

"Hm, I don't know. I'm pretty sure that's just in dating 101."

"Like you would know!"

"Hey, hey, hey," I said, "break it up. We're all going to find our soulmates. Now, when, I don't know. But the time will come for all of us, don't you think?"

"Maybe not for Aqua..." Aquarius muttered under his breath.

I slapped him on the arm. "We're all going to find our soulmates. Right, Aquarius?"

He sighed and said, "Right."

I may have seemed determined then, but I was starting to get a little worried. Aqua and I still hadn't found our soulmates. Our necklaces hadn't so much as lit up, not even once.

I began to wonder if my soulmate was even out there... And if so, where was she?
