Chapter one

Violet

She was beautiful

Her long black cloak trailed to the floor, her soft face showed no emotion. Two children held both her hands, one a girl, the other a boy; The girl had soft blue eyes and dark ringlets that hung to her waist, she also wore a cloak, the boy, hair like a ravens wing, cropped short with sharp emerald eyes, again wearing a cloak. A mist surrounded the beautiful three as they slowly walked along, the woman crouched onto her knees with the two beautiful children; they were staring at something, a piece of rock? I looked closer...

It was a gravestone.

I sat up and the nausea hit, I hate dreaming, I looked at the clock and sighed, my birthday, turning 15, what a joy. I rolled my eyes at myself and moved to get out of bed.

I yawned as my feet padded down the wooden stairs, and into the kitchen, "morning Mom" I said to the tall, thin figured woman with her back to me. She turned and nodded in my direction before practically running from the Kitchen, same as usual, no "happy birthday" or "good morning" now where was the cereal?

-Lunch time, sitting at the same old table with no one with company but the bin next to me, not once had anyone said "Happy birthday" to me, but that's just how life goes isn't it? I'm nothing special, shoulder length caramel hair and muddy brown eyes I know I'm not fat, but I'm not super thin just an average looking fifteen year old.
