Part 1: New beginning

The crazy thing about life is, we are constantly trying to get it over with.

When your 10 you want to be 13.

When your 13 you want to be 16.

When your 18 you want to be 21,

and then any age over that you want to go back to being 10.

School starts off easy... colouring books, 1 + 1, apple or orange juice box.

Then it turns into 12 x 12, strawberry lipgloss and "ow my gosh, Kyle totally wants to hold your hand"

Suddenly your in high school and its, 2a - 4b = c, what university are you planning on going to and "You and Trevor have been dating for how many years?"

Growing up is slow and yes, painful. But god it flies by past.

Never wish your time away.

Sure exams are shit, boys are jerks, girls are mean, teachers are always up your ass and your parents want you to do 5 hours of study, go to school 7 hours a day, have a part-time job, sleep for 8 hours and still have some sort of social life.

But sometimes the impossible, can become attainable.

So, here we go.

STEP 1: Observation and Clarity

1. Take a look around, a good look.

At your family, friends, classmates, enemies, teachers, acquaintances, bullies, work friends, sport buddies. Everyone and everything.

2. Now close you eyes and think, in ten years from now.

Who do I want to see?

The people who will make your life even better, keep them and hold onto them tightly.

Thank them everyday with actions and let them know how much you appreciate them.

Friendships work best when you are able to put their needs ahead of yours.

Keep your happiness, that belongs to you, but don't forget to let others see a little sunshine too.

Saying sorry is a strength, not a weakness.

Sometimes you will have to be the 'bigger person' and apologize first, but it shows your maturity and your confidence.

3. Let grieves with old enemies die and move forward.

That girl who still gives you dirty looks after a fight 4 years ago. Smile at her.

When people see your attitude change, they will too.

I promise you that a weight will be lifted from your shoulders.

Suddenly you can walk around school without grievances or hatred, just laughter and fun.

Always remember: When given the chance, people can be amazing.

Goodluck for now!
