Under crystal diamonds we lay
Your pinky hooked with mine
The sky painted dark velvet
This feeling oh so divine.
You were Indigo, with a heart of gold
I was Lilac, with a touch of silver
Our stars aligned, our hearts as one
We blended seamlessly together.
Was it love? We often wondered
When we danced to purple rain
You kissed me, steel blue eyes dilated
And I was never the same.
But our love was bound to end
As leaves turned from red to yellow
We crashed and burned at the seams
Tears filled the empty pillow.
My soul was stained with shady hues
When you left me feeling blue
What was once a kaleidoscope of colors
Now bland grey, thanks to you.
