A story almost finished, but never was
Their hearts almost ready
to love each other until
the very end of time,
until the Earth sings
and stars weep of
happy silver tears,
for the two hopeless lovers
who finally got to
fill the very last pages of
their book.
But that's the thing -
they're a mess of frayed almosts.
Just, almost. They could never love each other
until the end of time
They could never
hear the Earth rejoice,
and see crystal tears
fall from heavenly skies.
They could never write their
much awaited epilogue,
for there is none.
Because they're a mess of frayed almosts.
Just, almost.
