Chapter 4

Sean…”

I heard a voice. Where am I? I open my eyes and I found myself in the middle of a park. I look at my hands and noticed that I’m… glowing?

Sean…”

Again. That voice… “Celine?” I called back. Where is that voice coming from? And then, I feel something warm from my back. I turn around slowly and there is the source of the voice. Celine, coated in light and she is smiling towards me. How beautiful is she.

“Celine.” I walk towards her. But she stretched her hand and shook her head.

“It’s not your time yet, Sean…”

“What are you talking about?”

“You have to open your eyes now. It’s not your time.”

“I don’t understand what you’re saying.”

“Wake up, sleepy head! Wake up now… I’ll see you soon.” She said waving her hand and walking away. I try to run towards her but then, everything turns white. All I think of is, Celine.

I open my eyes. Where am I? I look around and feel a pain in both of my feet. What’s going on here? I look at my body. This is not my clothes, it’s looks like a… Hospital clothes? I try to remember what just happen when suddenly, the door in the room ajar. I felt my heart in my head and pretending to fell asleep.

“Sean… Why did this happen to you?” A female voice, it’s getting closer. “Why did this have to happen to us?” I heard a sob and I knew, I can’t pretend in this kind of situation. “Who…is…it?” I said slowly.

“SEAN!” She yelled and hugged my neck before giving me a time to see or think of anything. Wait, this voice belongs to the one and only.

“Catherine!” I said without realising that I was smiling when I knew who it is. I don’t know why, but I feel so thankful. “What are you doing here? Wait…” I feel tears on my neck. “Are you, crying?” I try to push her away so I can see her face, but her hug is too tight around my neck that it took minutes to get it off.

Finally, I manage to push her away and I found her face was red. Her tears were flowing. “Catherine?” I said softer than before. What the hell happen? OUCH! My head hurts… And suddenly I saw visions as fast as light. But I could get it all. I understand now why am I in this room. And why is Catherine crying. And I just remembered something important was a minute forgotten.

“Celine! Where is Celine?” I try to sit up and panicked. But Catherine tries to calm me down. How the hell could I forget about her?

“Calm down Sean! She is fine!” I see tears on the edge of her eyes again. “She is really fine…” But then her arms grow weak and she let go of my body. She put her hands on her eyes and sobbed. I finally controlled my emotion and concerned about her. She was the strongest girl I’ve ever met and now she is, crying?

“I wish she is fine! It’s not all about you, you know? It’s not only about you both! I concerned about her too. You’re not the only one that cares about her! I care about her too!” She screamed. I bet she’s really in a stress now. I shut my mouth. I wish I could say anything.

“I’m sorry.” I said, patting her head. I tried to stand up and when my feet touch the floor. I can feel the burn and pain because of my actions earlier. I ran through a fire, I froze. And then slowly, I leave Catherine alone in the room. She needs a time for her own.

I walk down the hallway, holding the pain beneath my feet. Only a few steps and I can’t move on, it’s very hurtful. I almost faint but then someone hold both of my shoulders.

“Sir, are you okay?” A girl’s voice, but I never heard her voice before. Maybe she just one of the people that walk by.

“I’m fine.” I smile.

“You don’t look so fine though, sir. Do you want me to take you back to your room?”

“No, I’m fine.” I lift my head, trying to see her face and that strange feeling began to over whelming. The first thing I saw is a pair of emerald eyes that look straight to me. I know this person.

“Wait!” She jumped. “Are you that waiter on the café? The one that mistaken Milk tea as coffee?” She said with a happy tone on her sentence. Oh yes, wait, she’s the customer that I served just a few days before it’s burnt.

“Ah! Wait! You look very sick, let us find a seat!” She dragged me to a bench nearby. And I just can do nothing but follow her.

“So what’s your name?”

“Sean Freddie.”

“What a funny name! My name is Luvina Cherly. You can call me Luv. Oh by the way, what happen to you? The other day you were a very charming waiter and now you turned out looking very… sick!”

“Well, the café… it’s on fire.”

The place grew silent.

“Oh…” She started the conversation again. “I’m sorry to hear that.”

“It’s okay.” I tried to smile.

“Hey Sean, is there any of your friend in this hospital too?”

“Yeah. I’ve been looking for her. Her name is Gracelyn Merissa. Have you heard her name before?” I stared at her emerald eyes. Hoping that she would know. And then she smiled.

“How lucky are you Sean? I’ve heard that name, but…” What? I froze and my heart beat getting faster and bigger. “She’s in the emergency room as soon as she arrives. Well, that’s what the nurse told me when I ask about the crowd that was running to the emergency room.”

"Emergency room?" I ask weakly. She's going to the emergency room? Is she that bad? I coughed. Hardly. Is she going to be save? Is she going to be okay? Can she smile like that again? Shit, my cough can't stop.

"Sean. Are you okay?" She hold my shoulder. I hope I can say that I'm okay. But I just can't stop coughing loudly. "Nurse! Nurse!" She scream panickly.

"Sir, what are you doing out from bed? You have to take  a rest now." A nurse came and held both of my arms. After she helped me to stand, she look to Luvina. "And you should get back to your room. Kezia have been searching for you for a check up." So, she is one of the patient. I wonder, what kind of disease that would keep her very cheerful. She nodded.

"See you later Sean."

"Let's go sir." The nurse hold me and take me to the room. I wish I can see Celine now.

"Can't I see my friend?"

"I'm sorry, but you'll have to take a rest first." She said. And she lie me down on that bed again. In that room again. I close my eyes. I fell asleep again.
