Once upon a time like any other girl’s life I woke up singing in the tune I always sing. I was tasked to do some chores for that day so I started out my day by taking a bath. I lived in a house with my step mother and two step sisters who always asked to do something but I didn’t bother how bad they were to me I just followed them by singing and doing all the chores.
I first bought some fresh bread that day for my family to have some breakfast when I bumped to someone ugly. He was asking for some food so I gave him some bread. After that day it became a routine for me to give that man bread when suddenly he said if he could ask my hand for marriage. I said I wasn’t ready so he just went away.
Years passed and the ugly man was not there anymore begging for food. I was tasked to go to the woods to get some wood and there I met seven little men where I asked them to help me in getting some woods. They all smiled and one of them said “You look so beautiful especially with your skin that is white as snow, your hair as black as ebony and your lips as red as blood”
I said thank you afterwards and there they were whistling a tune while bringing the wood in our house. My mother then told me why did I asked those men to bring those wood I should know how to do things on my own and they might even ask some money for bringing those wood, then she went away.
“Don’t worry my dear we’re doing these for free especially because we saw that you were kind to the ugly man and you didn’t talk back at your mother”
Thank you was all that I could say then later on they left. Next on my chores is to buy some fabric at the store. Beside the shop there was an Arabian man making a snake dance. I went inside the store and since it was my first time to go in there I was amazed on how bright the colors were. A carpet with designs that looked real caught my eye and I decided to buy it along with the fabric I was tasked to buy.
Later on I went home to sew and suddenly I pricked my finger so I sipped the blood and bandage it afterwards. An old woman knocked at the door and gave me an apple salad. My stomach ached afterwards and I was brought to the hospital. The doctor said that I would be fine I just need to take some medicine then I went home.
One day a letter was given to my family inviting us to swim. I joined them and since I did not know how to swim I decided to stay out of water but my two step sisters pushed me and I drowned. Later on I was awakened by a mouth to mouth made by a guy I didn’t know.
“Can you still remember me?”
“Sorry I don’t, may I know your name?”
“I’m that man that you gave bread every morning before I had this some kind of allergy or sickness before but there was this family who helped cure my sickness”
“Oh I see, thank you for saving me”
“You're welcome, can you answer my question now?”
“What question?”
“May I take your hand for marriage”
Then I thought maybe I was really at the right age so I agreed and a month later we were married and we lived happily ever after.
