Pokemon XD II: Corruption's Tempest

Chapter Two

My prognostication was right. Just as I thought, Cipher had returned. What I saw...It was just like ten years ago: Aircraft to ground transport, Cipher flooded the Pokemon Lab I had lived in my entire life. But then, what I thought was the impossible happened.

A darkness enveloping the Pokemon Lab, just like the S.S. Libra ten years prior to now. A flying Pokemon of vast, enormous size flew above the lab, and that Pokemon was the same Pokemon I had purified ten years ago: Lugia, completely corrupted by Cipher. It's appearance, the same as the Lugia I had purified, was a sign of his corruption. And with a bloodcurdling shriek and a flash of light, the Shadow Lugia had carried the Pokemon Lab off the ground effortlessly with a beam of darkness.

My mother, Lily, was in the Pokemon Lab...she was gone, along with the research center. The emptiness and sorrow Jovi and I felt, seeing the only family we had abducted, was insurmountable and unfathomable. "Mom!" Jovi screamed. "Come back!" She broke down in tears after screaming her plea.

"H-How...dare they..." I shook in anger when I spoke those words. "Those callous...unfeeling...heartless bastards are gonna pay!" My speech was filled with determination. "But big brother, how are you gonna stop them again?" Jovi was dubious, doubtful that I could do what I did again. I suppose it's understandable. But I don't give up without giving a good fight.

"I've defeated Cipher when I was only ten, Jovi. I am more experienced and my Pokemon are more powerful. I won't let them get away with abducting our mother and everyone else. We won't let them get away with it." Given we were the only ones that weren't captured, we had to travel together. I suppose it isn't gonna be the same way it was ten years ago. She's more mature, so she isn't a know-it-all anymore...At least, not as much of a know-it-all as she used to be.

And so we decided to head to Gateon Port, the nearest city. We jumped on my new Sand Bike and approached the seaside city, full of determination, and ready for whatever Cipher had to throw at us.
