I walked Haylee home because my mom told me to. She started saying how excited she was about going to Florida. After I got back my mom told me to get in the car. We went to the grocery store. We were getting food for the trip. I wandered off to find the bread aisle when I heard a girl behind me.
"Hey kiddo." I knew exactly who it was. I turned around to see her again. Lesley. She stood there smiling at me. I knew exactly what she was going to do. Or at least I thought I did. She walked towards me and I slowly backed away. She tilted her head, still smiling.
"I'm not going to hurt you. I saw how alarmed you were last time we saw each other." she said.
"You stuck your tongue in my mouth, of course I was alarmed you're my cousin."
"Ok I admit that was a bit overboard and i'm sorry."
"A bit overboard?" She looked at the ground and frowned.
"I'm truly sorry Josh. I will leave you alone from now on. All I want is a proper goodbye. I want a hug. A good one."
She opened her arms and I just stood there. I stared at her.
"Fine. I guess not." I turned around and walked away. We finished getting things and went home.
