It started with the tingling of my fingertips. I should have paid more attention to it. Only if I had I would have realised what was happening. Only then I might have prevented what was to be. Luck was not on my side that day, I was too confident, too ignorant, I should have known better. Michael did teach me to be humble, to be modest. Yet i pushed all the warning signs aside and stood by the large, overly flamboyant window. I even had the nerve to rest myself on its panes. I closed my eyes, meditating and felt all my senses rushing to me, burning its way to my heart. I thought life was pretty messed up considering what I have been through but nothing compared to this. Without any warning, I felt a crisp sword pierce through my heart. Only if I had paid more attention I could have prevented this. Only ifs.
