Cassidy Richards sat down in her usual spot at the park. Her spot, so to say, was right under the weeping willow tree. It sat a few feet away from a water fountain that shot up and did magical motions.
Sometimes she would stop reading her book or writing whatever it was she was writing to watch the water shoot up and down, make bubbles, and do crazy twists as two water streams collided.
Every time she saw it Cassidy thought that it was quite a odd design. A water fountain that was able to make a continuous bubble out of plain water. Strange. But she liked it. It was odd and different but had a sort of beauty about it just like her.
Cassidy was the quiet girl in school. No one really talked to her expect a few soft 'hellos' here and there, but other then that no one said a word. It bothered her a lot though. She was a wonderful person and thought that she should be talked to also.
Cassidy had also tried to reach out, but no one accepted the offer. It didn't surprise Cassidy though. No one in the school was exactly the 'give someone a chance' kind.
So this is what she did instead of socializing. She would come to the park and sit in her spot and read or write or listen to music or do all of the above. She would also bring her camera and take photos of the beauty around her. That was always how she ended her trip to the park. It calmed her and soothed her especially when she had a awful day.
Every time Cassidy went to the park she brought her camera, iPhone, a book and her sketchbook with a pencil. One time she had forgotten her camera and realized it once she had arrived at the park and walked all the way back home just to get it. Cassidy had a routine and she always stuck with it.
Today Cassidy was sitting in her spot listening to music and reading 'the perks of being a wallflower'.
She found she could relate quite easily to the book and how Charlie felt. She didn't do half the things Charlie did, but she did happen to relate to him on a emotional level and she liked that. Never had that happened before as she read a book, but this time it did. She always had her pencil on standby so at any moment she could grab it and underline a line that had a special meaning to her or that she could relate to. Cassidy loved this book.
Her long brown curly hair and burgundy knee length dress lightly blew in the breeze in sync. Even though she was sitting down her dress still lightly blew around a bit.
She had on black leggings underneath the beautiful dress she had saved up for, brown boots that went to her mid calf and a light brown knit sweater that was more of a shrug then a sweater.
It was the perfect fall outfit in Cassidy's opinion.
Autumn Leaves by Ed Sheeran was playing in her earphones.
She felt that as she listened that in fact Ed was not on her iPhone, but sitting next to her whispering the words right into her ear that went directly to her soul.
She lightly drummed her fingers against the book as she felt her leg being tapped.
Her head slowly looked up to be greeted by one of the boys in her school. The one boy that ignored her the most in school.
Peter Evans.
She liked Peter. She thought he was sweet and kind to a certain level and yes he was cute, but Cassidy had forbidden herself from liking him because of how he ignored her.
He signaled for her to take out her earphones.
She did as he wished and took them out, but not before pausing one of her favorite songs.
She looked back up at him and didn't say a word, but placed a small friendly smile on her face.
"Can I sit with you?" He asked.
