Chapter 1
Ellie's POV
The L.A air was cold and sharp. U had beer been a big fan of the winter, especially at night. Unfortunately, I had no choice. I needed money as soon as possible. I was behind on rent, and haven't ate anything in 2 days. I could live without food, my teenage years prepared me for that. A shiver chilled my body as my heels clicked against the pavement. I really hoped somebody would pass by soon. I normally had three people who came for me. A club owner who got bored by being with the same girls over an over. A married man of age 35 who had married a model that travels constantly. And lastly, a 50 year old that was convinced we were in love.
At the moment I don't care who came, just somebody that would take me somewhere warm. Maybe a drug killer that would murder me afterwards, it didn't matter to me. Sometimes I wished I was back home with my mom, but her husband ruined that for me. He was abusive, and a drunk. Other times I wondered what my life would be like if my father would have taken me with him when he left us, when I was 2 months old. He didn't take me, simply because he didn't love me. Maybe if it would have worked out between me and my ex-boyfriend, things would be different. We've been broken up for a year and a half, we haven't spoken since. So here I am, waiting on somebody to buy my body for the night. Hoping this will end soon.
Mikes POV
I lit a cigarette as a train rumbled by above me. The night was growing colder as every minute passed. I walked from the small club my friend Finn worked at to my car across the street. I always came to see Finn on the weekends, she was perfect I'm everyday, and hard to say no to. I had never slept with her though, I knew her to well to do something stupid like that. I had learned how girls around here worked. They all wanted my money, or the fame. I, on the other hand, want something more than that.
Driving down the road I decide to make a quick stop for more cigarettes and beer. I made a right looking for a open store. Instead, I looked over to see a black haute girl with tattoos walking down the sidewalk. Her outfit gave her away. A short, strapless black dress, fishnet leggings, and tall black heels. She was definitely a hooker. I drove closet to her and stopped by her. When she turned to look at the car, my breath caught in my chest. She was beautiful. Short, around 5'2 or 5'4, skinny, two tattoos on her right arm, one on the left. One thigh had an anchor tattooed on it, the other a steering wheel of a ship. She had spider bites and a pierced nose. She was somebody I would be with, and with out thinking. I rolled down the passenger window.
Ellie's POV
I hadn't realized the tears staining my cheeks until a black sports car pulled up. I forced the tears to stop and looked at the car as the window rolled down. The boy was a stranger, he was young with long black hair, and tattoos coving his arms. He was attractive, and looked nervous. I crossed my arms over my chest and walked over to the car. "You look cold," his voice was deep, and sounded concerned. I looked down at the ground, unable to answer. "Come on, it's to cold for you to be walking all night," I climbed into the car after he unlocked it.
The car was much warmer, witch I was thankful for. I didn't say a word a I took in the car. It was very clean, nothing in the floor or on the dash. The interior was black and shiny, it smelled of guys clone. The only items were a pack of cigarettes, a lighter, and a bag of weed in the cup holder. "I'm mike. Mike Fuentes," his eyes shifted to me, then back to the road. I still didn't say anything, as always I was quite. I looked over at him as his eyes met mine. "I'm Ellie," I mumbled, my voice really low. I wasn't even sure he heard me.
I shifted in the seat to look out the window. A few moments passed before he spoke again. "You know, you're to pretty to be selling your body to strangers," I felt his eyes on me. I was a little uncomfortable with him trying to make conversation. "Them why are you buying," I didn't mean for the words to come out, but they did. I felt bad about how mean I sounded. "I never said I was," I looked over at him and met his eyes. He looked back at the road as I looked back out the window. When we stopped at a red light mike reached behind my seat and handed me a jacket. I slipped the clothing on my arms as mike took off. I leaned on the door and waited for the road to be over.
