Email lived in a computer as a messenger. She traveled Emily's emails and files to other emails or devices. She would go through a portal to get to the cloud where every devices portal laid, if the owner of a device decided to link a device there would only be one portal.
Email heard a swish from above. She looked up to see a email with an attachment that she was supposed to send.

There was an attachment containing the hatsune miku song. Email put the digital letter into a digital envelope sealing it then putting it into her messenger bag. Email ran through the portal taking her to the cloud.
